I'm very grateful that wrestling was really popular at my high school. Hell, we had a student section at most matches that rivaled the basketball games.

Back to the topic, my son has wrestled for 9 years and recently became certified as a referee as well. During Middle School especially (that age, I guess) he took a lot of "gay sport" ribbing. So he spoke with his coach who spoke with the basketball coach and it was on. This particular big kid had talked a lot of shit so my son asked permission to take him out of basketball practice and over to wrestling practice, assuring the basketball coach that "this won't take long." He was probably about 5'4" and 120# at this time and the other kid was probably 5'10" and 180#. I think it took approximately 20 seconds for the big kid to be cradled and kicking around on his back for the pin. The wrestling coach politely told him he could go back to basketball practice now. LOL That took care of a lot of the ribbing.

Anyway, while I have certainly heard of this practice, I've never had the misfortune of witnessing it either. If it was that blatant, this boy should be prosecuted. That a dispicable thing to do.
