my dog did the butt drag on the carpet once in awhile. I had no specific house rule regarding a butt drag, so it was a legal move.

How is nobody making fun of the guy who fingered another guys ass? Seriousuly if I had known someone like that in school we would have never let them live it down.

The kid should be made fun of and he should be in trouble. The bigger kicker to me is the article pointing to other coaches, meaning grown people defending the move. I have wrestled, coached, and officiated in this sport starting at the age of 3. I am now 34 and never once have done this to anyone or know personally any wrestler who has and I have completed many butt drags in my days!! I have also heard how gay wrestling is since day one, we will never win that battle!!

If I remember durning our wrestling practice we all had plastic bags under two sets of sweat pants and shorts over top that. Unless you're wrestling in shorts and no underware how could this happen..........?

Well belly there are clothes on period even if it was just the thin singlet. This was a sick action by a wrestler and sounds like his coaches that went way beyond the bounds of legal and moral competition!

I've only recently started wearing plastic bags, different reason though.

Maybe the singlet should have a white square on the anus. That way a ref can tell if there is insertion.

I have tried this move on my wife a few when she's been drinking. I also am immediately disqualified from the match.

A butt drag absolutely does NOT involve inserting fingers into the anus. "Checking the oil", which is used quite a bit on the college level as a defensive measure does involve fingers in the anus. It's one of the unspoken things in the wrestling community and I'm surprised these things do not come up more often.

Checking the oil is a very common slang term used but again there is no move intended to insert anything into any body orifice. We used to knee the back of the butt when in the top position to get the bottom man to move and that was referred to as checking the oil too!!!!

No wrestling move involves anything going into the anus.

The "checking the oil" term is for humor.

How is there confusing involving this. And fingers in the anus are not used "quite a bit" on the college level. Or any level.

You've got to be kidding. It's used as a defensive strategy all the time in college - a guy is in deep on the legs and the defensive wrestler will "check the oil" in an effort to cause enough squirm to break away. You're blind to the sport if you don't realize it goes on.

No they do not!! Where are you getting this from? I have wrestled and have been involved in all parts of the sport including wrestling at the college level and this is not common at all! Never once have I or my opponent done this in a wrestling match!
