^^Makes me think 1) it's awesome that he came back to get his degree, and 2) maybe he should have stayed if he truly wanted his degree. Brian Kelly could have done some neat things with a quarterback as accurate as Jimmy Clausen (and Golden Tate).

I'm thinking someone wise told him he might get the Tim Couch handling if he stays in Carolina too long and may want a Notre Dame degree to lean on.

It'll be ~43 degrees in El Paso for kickoff. Does that favor the Irish since Miami won't be acclimated to the temperatures, or Miami since they don't rely on throwing the ball (not that this Notre Dame ream does necessarily).

I forgot what a stereotypical bunch of thugs these guys were--MLK took it two steps forward, and these idiots of the 80's & early 90's took it one step back....GO IRISH!!!

Yeah it was about 2 hours ago or whenever I posted it. They didn't have proper equipment to clear the field of snow, so people were using folding chairs, tables, and rakes on the ND sideline. I do believe they finally got some tractors with blowers and got the field moderately cleared of snow.

Current weather: 34 degrees with windchill in the low 20s. SHOULD be an advantage for the Irish but who knows.

CBS had better cut away from this blowout of a basketball game...

Dan Wenger is in uniform for the first time this season but will not play, obviously.

Chris Stewart, Robert Hughes, Brian Smith, and Ian Williams are game captains, with Hughes getting his first start of the year.

I dont follow Notre Dame, so I apologize if this has been mentioned before but what happened to Kyle Rudolph? Is he hurt or what?

His hamstring ripped off the bone after 3 or 4 games this year. He had surgery to reattach it and hasn't played since obviously.

Shaky drive at times with the penalties (not real sure on the illegal man downfield) but Rees to Floyd looks decent. I believe Floyd just tied Samardjiza for the all time TD record.

Wonder if Miami has the space heaters fired up again? Haha they look like they want nothing to do with this game

Dammit Tommy, throw it to someone else. If Floyd goes for 200 and 4 TDs he is 100% gone.

Then again, maybe Rees knows he's gone already so he wants to throw to him as much as possible.
