Duval Kamara didn't make the trip to El Paso for "personal reasons"

That's fitting, he's largely missed the last 4 years for the same thing.

He wasn't going to see the field with Riddick and Jones at full strength. No loss IMO.

Hmm, I wonder what happened? Kelly will be speaking to the media today, maybe he'll shed some light on Duval. Either way, what a sad ending to an even more disappointing career.

He was a projected starter for the game, and any time you lose a receiver who is like 6'6'' it's not a good thing. He's been a great blocker all four years, and is a definite loss.

That said, TJ Jones is a better athlete and route runner and will do well in his spot starting again now that he is full strength.

I don't think he's a loss at all. There's a reason Kelly didn't play him and for that fact, Weis last year. Like you said, Jones is a better option anyway and can hopefully he can open the field up with his speed.

Wasn't Kamara the #3 last year?

Espn reporting Jacory Harris will probably start Friday because Stephen Morris injures ankle in Tuesday's practice.

If so, he was invisible, although, your not going to get many balls thrown your way when Tate and Floyd are on the field. I think Goodman saw more PT than Kamara did.

Eh...Tate, Floyd, Rudolph, and probably Robby Parris were all ahead of him as far options in the passing game go. You could throw Armondo in there too ahead of Kamara. There had to be some reason other than #3 arriving on campus to explain Kamara's lack of playing time after his freshman season when he had one of the best freshman campaigns in ND history.

Is Deion Walker ever going to see the field or is his career pretty much done? He was a 3rd year sophomore this season and I can't remember ever seeing him play. I would have to think he could find a spot somewhere.

That's a good question. He was highly touted when he came to ND. Didn't he run a bad route/screwed a play up in a game last year that cost ND?

Pretty sure that was Shaq Evans in the Michigan game. Ran a sloppy out route that should have gone for a first down, which likely would have sealed the game. Floyd had left the game after ripping his knee open.

Good call on that one. I was sitting about 11 rows off the field in the end zone where that took place.

ya, have been to the last three home games against usc... very devastating with two coming down to the final play in that end zone and one being 38 zip

I have a feeling the next USC home game will be more favorable for Notre Dame than those.

yea, we have no business losing to usc next year. to be honest, we have no business losing to anyone on our schedule next year besides michigan state (toss up?) and mayyybe at stanford depending on how they do without luck. (assuming floyd comes back and MAYBE rudolph)

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! 2011 optimism is not to be unleashed for another 40 hours! Unless Miami wins, then it's cautious optimism. :(

But in all seriousness, there is a chance Notre Dame shits on everyone next year and wins 10+ games.

lol didn't say optimism, just saying our schedule isn't full of world beaters next year. will have some quality teams, but i'd be surprised if our opponents have near the winning percentage this year's opponents (and 2012's opponents) have
