100% agree. If you remember the show 3rd rock from the Sun from the '90's, the little kid from the show, has made it really big on the Indy film circut the past 5 or so years. He doesn't do bad movies. His movies also don't get a lot of press because, well, they're Indy films and they don't have the tens of millions of marketing behing them to push them. Also, Zooey Deschanel is the female lead (and love of my lifekrambman wrote: (500) Days of Summer was the best movie of the year running away. No, it won't win any awards, but it was far and away better than anything else this year. Not only was it the best movie of 2009, but I'd easily put it in my top five all time. If you've not seen it yet, you need to.
