Grade B maple syrup is the syrup that is supposed to be used. Other maple syrups do not include the necessary nutrients and minerals.

What nutrients and minerals? Other than Manganese there are virtually no nutrients in it. It's sugar, that's what syrup is.

You can download Insanity via torrents if you don't want to pay for it.

Everything about P90X irks me now...the music, his voice, the repetitiveness, looking at his face, the lack of a good space to do it (although this would be the same for insanity). More or less it is all in my head...but that is enough to not make me want to do it and why I need something new.

Anyone heard of or tried the hcg diet? (I think that's what it's called) A buddy of mine was talking about this recently and said he lost 25 pounds on it. I can't imagine its too healthy, he said you take hcg drops 3 times a day and eat something like 500 calories. Your body uses the hcg to transform stored fat into energy and that's how you lose the weight. In some cases up to 3 pounds a day. Can't say I would do something like that but was just curious if it has actually worked for anyone.

How is insanity? I am on my last week of p90x and I am debating between doing another cycle, or trying out insanity, or maybe try a hybrid insanity/p90x schedule like BR was doing.

You don't necessarily have to watch the dvds I wouldn't think if you are disciplined enough. As long as you know what the different exercises are and when you are supposed to do them it can be done. I have an excel sheet that lists each exercise sorted by day that I could go off of if need be.

Insanity is a bitch, especially the first week until you get used to it. Its basically nothing but cardio with a few push ups and ab exercises mixed in. I was more sore after the first few days of Insanity than I was after P90x.

eh probably Insanity. I didn't go through the whole thing, I just wanted to see what is was like so I did it for a few weeks. I'd think its more for dropping weight as opposed to building strength, getting bigger etc. Although the Yoga X part of P90 was the overall toughest thing just because I'm a bigger guy and not very flexible. I hated that shit.

If it sounds like a miracle diet type thing it probably doesn't work, is terrible for you, or will kill you.

I think P90x is like a warm up compared to Insanity....br can verify this as well(if he ever comes back)

+1, just sounds like crash dieting. Might work to lose weight, but the weight will come back on as soon as he/she goes back to eating normally.

I was thinking of pming him, but he def has been MIA. Need to hurry up with the new policies so Capone can get the hell out of here.

The video here is NSFW and some images are disturbing. Viewer discretion is advised (lol)

And like I said earlier, I would rather see somebody be a little overweight (that's managable) than scrawny and gross.
I'm not talking 5'4" 300lbs.

Some of those girls look like death... I cannot understand, nor do I want to, why girls feel they have to be so thin to attract guys. A girl I'm talking to is 4'11" and 85 lbs. She asked me one day if I thought she was fat. I said, "Oh ghee, EXTREMELY!" Then I said, "Ha, really though, you could gain 15-20 lbs and I wouldn't even blink."

Not trying to be obnoxious here, but... have you read even some of the comments on this thread? Other threads?
Men and women see these sample size, computer enhanced, drugged out models so much and start to consider them the "ideal". Men look for more of it, and women/girls try to emulate it.

True story:
I'm 5'10 and gaining some lbs. like I do every winter. So right now I'm probably 155 (gasp!). I don't consider that to be "fat", but I'm sure lots of people do. I've never been "skinny" and with low blood sugar, still consider myself healthy. I actually think I'm one of those people who, if I lost too much weight, wouldn't look right.
PLUS, if a catastrophic even ever took place and food was scarce, I'd be better off than some of those other folks! LOL

It was alot of hard work just not eating what I want to all the time was the hardest part. I still eat bad stuff but only once in awhile now. I walk and ride a bike alot plus work out at work now. I took a new job just cause it was harder to help out and that seems to be the best thing for me. I dont work out everyday like I should, but my job is so physical that its a work out in itself.

I'm the one in the CATS shirt. That's about 6'2'' 150. I know I'm thin but I wouldn't say it's that gross. You can't see my ribs, that's for sure.

I am 6'4", 195 currently. My lightest was 186 a few months ago and my long term goal is 180. Once the holidays are over I'll be getting back into the groove of working out.
