Any more news on a possible Big Red-Brooke matchup? I think it would be a good series, even though Big Red dominated Brooke the last times we played.

New Philadelphia (In the works, from what I hear...done deal)
Brooke
Some Out of state team (for homecoming week) (Still Fairview?)
Cleveland Glenville (Pure speculation, just a rumor)
Wheeling Park
I just talked to a Big Red caoch at the Brooke game Saturday and he said he doubts very much Brooke and Big Red will play next season. It's more likely Brooke would try to pick up East Liverpool(considered AAA in WV) if they can't get another in state game.

i figure both teams are graduating a ton of talent and will need the practice.
BR returns 11 seniors that started or had major playing time, plus tons of underclassmen that will have lettered

Brooke sounds like a typical OVAC team. They schedule the teams they think they can beat instead of scheduling Big Red.

Typical comment from an OVAST fan.

It's the truth. There is no reason for Brooke not scheduling us unless they are afraid of having an automatic loss on their schedue. As much as I hate playing Wheeling Park, at least I give them credit for having the balls to play us every year. That's more than I can say for Brooke.

Big red better change divisions if they want another title. After the whooping Mooney put on them, they may miss the playoffs on purpose.

Big Red has only lost four games in the past five years, and all four teams that beat us were either their respective state champ or state runner-up. We only got beaten by the very best. And in 2005 and 2006, we were the very best!

Its funny how everyone thinks OVAC is breeding grounds for major D1 talent. Can you name me 10 major D1 talents from OVAC in past 15 years (the open enrollment era)?

What makes you think we have a team full of West Virginian's!

Name one player we've had who didn't live in Steubenville.
