I think a lot of it had to do with coaching to. I have never bought into Ferentz being that great of a coach. I think he has been overrated the whole time he has been at Iowa. He was coach of the year last year, even though Tressel and the Bucks won the Big 10 and in 2002 when the Bucks were national champs. Overrated.

I said may be. They lost by 21 at Oregon. No way to tell for sure, but Stanford/Wisconsin would be one hell of a Rose Bowl. Too bad it likely won't happen with the Rose Bowl having to take TCU. You say the media won't brainwash you, but your love for OSU surely has.

Ferentz is a great coach as far as player development is concerned. He just isn't a great game day coach, although if you give him time to prepare for the opponent he gets much better. He would do great at a place like Boise State where you only have to game plan for 2 games a year. They are down to the last running back on their roster and they played a brutal schedule that pretty much trashed their season.

I would normally adhere pretty strictly to this logic. Both beat a 1-loss team as a marquee win and Mich State has the edge in beating winning teams (6 to 5). Michigan State's loss is worse because they were dominated and I guess thats what really hurt them, perception-wise because they've pretty much been out of the conversation since then. Then of course you have Wisconsin's eye-popping offensive output the last few weeks while Michigan State has scraped by. Hell, I think I've picked Michigan State to lose twice in the last few weeks. As I really started digging and thinking about it, I agree with you - Michigan State is kind of getting ripped off here.

Lol at Stanford over Ohio state who lost by 30 to Oregon. A team osu dominated in the rose bowl. Stanford is good but I'd take osu +10 head to head.

Oregon isn't the same team from last year. That team wasn't very good at all. Ohio State would lose by over 30 to them this year.

And far less depth, which is why they were in games this year (USC, Washington St., ASU) that should have been far easier. I'm glad to see Stanford do well, but they are an up and down team, and fortunately for them they've been up more often and have pulled out wins when they weren't as up. They could easily lose to a lot of teams on those days. Aside from them and Oregon, the PAC-10 was pretty weak this year (Zona has showed signs of life, but they are also an up and down team), It wouldn't surprise me if Stanford lost 3-4 games with an SEC or Big 10 schedule.

IMO, Wisky's Oline is much better than Stanford's, but you're right about the QB...no way I'd spot the Cardinal 10 points, but I think it'd be a helluva ball game (with OSU coming out on top, of course) :cool:

Nope IMO TCU is not as good as any of those I have listed in my top 10. Also not big on oregon. Saw that dance last year. Bowl season will tell more if i was right or wrong. i'd like to see Wisconsin get into the NC game cause i think they are as good as anyone out there.

What 3-4 games would they lose in the Big Ten?

Wisconsin's Big Ten schedule:
Michigan State
Minnesota
Ohio State
Iowa
Purdue
Indiana
Michigan
Northwestern

Please point out the 3 or 4 teams that would beat Stanford out of those. Michigan State would be a game but they have also struggled with some bad teams, Ohio State would be a good game but Wisconsin proved that the smash mouth running game as well as an accurate QB can beat them, and then Iowa who was exposed coming down the stretch. Mix in games with UNLV, San Jose State, Arizona State and Austin Peay and Stanford very easily could be undefeated if they played that schedule.

Because they put up over 150 points against Northwestern and Indiana? Wisconsin is a very good team this year and plays a very physical brand of football. If some of you guys don't think Oregon could score the same amount of points against teams like that...
