I would like to know when rider nation played football and when she coached as well, seeing how she can obviously be a better coach than davault. I don't understand why everything is blammed on coaches when they aren't the ones on the floor or field playing. I am a firm believer that there is only so much a coach can do when the players don't want to play. and after Thursday don't you think it would be difficult to get in the right mindset after a "brother" passed away. I realize the players should have played for hi, but you're sitting here bashing the coaches and players. You're a. Amazing human being, amazing.

Red Rider Nation i agree 100% with you that was the most embarrassing performance i have ever seen from an orrville team. I have been attending orrville games for 37 years and never thought i would see the things i seen last night. Brenner runs his mouth and does that crap every game and is never punished. He should be removed from the team period ! This coach has absolutly no disipline or control of this team. Haley would be a fantastic choice to run the team.Red Rider Nation;925650 wrote:Wow what a great display tonight for Orrville. I have never seen more underachievers in my entire life and again it starts with coaching! You can argue with me all you want about discipline but you wont win that with me. I actually saw Drew Brenner give the middle finger to the Ashland sideline after being called for an offensive pass interference. Are you kidding me? That kid jaws and runs his mouth the entire game and then that? THis is not Orrville football. This is just embarassing. We cant score 1 point on a defense that cant stop a cold? Oh because we have 4 plays in our arsenal and none of them work. Congrats to Ashland you are a better football team all the way around. I also saw Trevor White slam a kids helmet into the ground well after a play was over and lucky for him he got to stay in the game. Good job son! All i heard all preseason is how talented and great this team is and now they are on the brink of missing the playoffs. This team is not a playoff football team and doesnt deserve to be in. I cant blame the kids for just losing to a better football team but why week after week do we put up with the same undisciplined, non energized football program that we once called Red Rider Traidition? I know Davault took us far in the playoffs the last 2 years right? Well why on earth are we playing with zero tenacity each game this year with equal or more talent than we had on those 2 teams? Im not sure coach but you are about to let arguably the most talented team in Orrville history miss the playoffs because you refuse to make them better!

Because the players are supposed to be a reflection of the coach. He is responsable for there actions the moment they step on that field and represent Orrville, when he lets them get away with GARBAGE like went on last night it is his fault. !rtr24;926185 wrote:I would like to know when rider nation played football and when she coached as well, seeing how she can obviously be a better coach than davault. On the subject of Brenner, Well said RRN.Red Rider Nation;925748 wrote:I would like to come to the Orrville booster club meeting next week and ask Davault for his resignation. Can someone tell me a day and time so I can show up to do that? We were outclassed tonite and Trevor White didnt even shake hands at the end of the game. SPortmanship is at an all time low in Orrville and I hate to say it but Drew Brenner should be kicked off the team after that display tonight. No wonder there arent any major D1 programs knocking on his door. He lacks discipline, sportsmanship, and most importantly common sense!

I will not support a program where the kind of stuff that happened last night goes on. TRADITION, SPORTSMANSHIP, DISCIPLINE.....These were the foundation of a football program for as far back as I can remember. Not any more. SAD really. One of the most talented squads in a long time and we as fans get that. Ridiculous. Hey Red Rider Nation.....when you find out where and when the booster club meets....let me know and I will come in support of a major change in the program. Until change happens, and I see it, I am done with this program!!
Hello, welcome to the thread and I guess good bye also.

Most of these "fans" won't show up at any Booster club meetings and if they were really "fans" WOULD know when the meetings are, as it is mentioned at every game. Does the discipline start at home with the parents? Coaches can't fix what the parents allow from their kids.RedRider1;926163 wrote:Next Booster Club meeting is October 19th I believe at the high school. By the statements here, they better put out some extra chairs.
Riders sit at #7 in the region today, but will drop to #8 after todays games.

You are correct it does start at home. If parents allow there kids to act anyway they want it becomes harder. However the football field is not home it is a place that should reflect the coach and how he runs things, He is in charge on the field.riders1;926270 wrote:Most of these "fans" won't show up at any Booster club meetings and if they were really "fans" WOULD know when the meetings are, as it is mentioned at every game. I agree with some of these posts......I noticed a change in the coaching style my senior year.....and now we are seeing the product on the field because of it. I wasn't at the game last night so I'm not exactly sure what went on....but I know this for a fact, when I played, when you screwed up....we heard about it!
It's very disappointing to see this continue every single week. My prediction that everyone hated and called me out for is really coming to fruition.

Am glad that others have taken notice...Those very questions concerning the center position and Verheller at guard were questioned before the first game and was more than less told to just be a supportive parent/fan and let the coaches do their jobs...There are plenty standing on the sidelines that could make our team better on Fridays but don't get a chance because our coaching staff believes they've put the best 11 out there and refuse to listen to reason even when the kid/player themselves have been in the coaches face for weeks telling him they would do better than what they have out there now! I guess being a Hall of Fame inductee and co-owner of Orrvilles only State title qualifies a person to make those decisions but it sure in the hell don't win football games.Old Rider;925978 wrote:Speaking of the word "position". Why on earth is Graber, at 150 lbs soaking wet, the fullback???? Trevor Summers was a fullback before the line coaches had a pow-wow and decided that Summers needs to be a center. Here is a kid that has played FB ever since he started playing football and now all he does is snaps the ball??? He is 205 lbs and would be a great lead blocker, punishing runner, and is a play maker....but whats is matter cause our head coach has no clue how to get the ball in the playmakers hands anyhow...Summers at center is a waste of talent. At no time during any of our first seven games have we had our "best 11" on the field. Trevor White plays zero offense?? Dylan Lemon plays half the plays on O and why on earth is Veirheller a guard?? 150 lb guard??? really??

As for the personal fouls called, were they on offense or defense, and does the defensive coach have a say as to who is in and out of the game or does he no coaching of defensive players during the game? Does the defensive attitude and philosophy reflect on the defensive coaches or the head coach only. Do we point at the defensive coaches for good plays only and point at the head coach only on the bad plays or penalties, Are all the coaches on the sideline not allowed to speak to their players? Is the respective coordinator in charge of his players on the field? So who decides which player should be on the field like a 5'8" db on 6'2" or 6'4" receivers?

Right. Posting on here that you want an e-mail or asking when the next booster club meeting is....that is easy to find out. You want to put your money where your mouth is, then send that e-mail OR attend that booster club meeting.RedRider1;926163 wrote:Next Booster Club meeting is October 19th I believe at the high school. It certainly was a disappointing loss.
I am thinking of a scene from Frankenstein.
The "calling for heads" people marching through the underpass..........ya know....the one that gets painted on Crown Hill?
Maybe we're just not that good. Yet, we still have a chance to make the play-offs. It's bizarre.

Thanos for the info. I will be in attendance. Im not afraid of anyone. Oh and by the way Im actually not a girl that was a big joke. I will say my name I could care less. Some of you just need to wake up and realize Davault is not the answer. Discipline aside the lack of being a good sport at Orrville is non negotiable and for those of you saying we can still make the playofs maybe so but when the hell in this town have you ever accepted anything less than 100% each week? You should look at yourself as a fan and question things. I know i have. Red Rider tradition is no longer it even starts when the team runs out on the field and the band is already intheir seats. Whatever happened to Red Rider Tradition? It left with Coach Mac.

rrn, why don't you just apply for the job when you get davault to resign. I'm sure rider fans would love to have you on the field with your witty remarks and so much knowledge about the game. You'd be a good pick, can already tell.

Forget some positions. There should be a full staff to fill. I would like to see Jason Haley as the head coach. I know he gets it!!

Great time at the Hall of Fame induction tonight. Great to see people who are humbled at the honor and to hear them speak fondly of their time at Orrville.
Saw lots of familiar faces and ones that I hadn't seen in a long time.

This team does not deserve to go to the playoffs. You have a bunch of "so called talent" out there that really are not that good. Brenner and Turner would not have even started on many Rider teams from the past. I think that people forget quickly when scholorships start getting thrown around like a water bottle. Turner has speed but I don't know where he could even play at the next level. I really don't think he can. Brenner needs to take some lessons from his older bother on how to be a professional and have some class. This team is not that good. They are not that talented and I am sick of hearing how good they are. They don't have the heart to be champions of anything. There are a lot of good coaches out there right now, but Davault better get this attitude fixed and start coaching because I can't watch much more of this crap.

After attending the game last night I have to admit that it didn't look like a normal Red Rider team. I went home with dreams of a competitive Wooster/Orrville game, then realized we still have the McCreary's and will get our a$$e$ handed to us again.

If i coached this Orrville team we would have a better record. Brenner would be on the Bench, I would have a playbook with at least 10 plays instead of 4, kids would come out of the game for stupid penalties, Stew Turner would be a part of the huddle on both sides, I would have signals like every other team in America so lichti doenst have to run in and out to get plays, and I would take what the other team gives me. Sounds like rocket science right? My 90 year old grandmother could figure all this out so Im not sure why Devault cant. We are the only team in America that couldnt score a point on an Ashland defense that gives up a lot. THis team is heartless, gutless, plays with no class, discipline and most importantly a lack of knowing what RRT is all about!rtr24;926879 wrote:rrn, why don't you just apply for the job when you get davault to resign. tomorrow I am actually gonna reveal who I am. Like i keep saying Im not worried what people think of me. THere are way more important things in life to worry about. I will tell you my name, give you my number, and let you know why I am passionate about Orrville football. I get accused of hiding behind a screen name but I think actually that is most of you. Not all but most. Ans I would love to show up at next booster meeting but I will be in Vegas. I along with another person approached Davault after game last nite and like most of his players he could care less. #20 walked off the field and joked with his friends. People on this team just dont care anymore so why on earth should we? After all we cant play the game for them
