Wow what a great display tonight for Orrville. I have never seen more underachievers in my entire life and again it starts with coaching! You can argue with me all you want about discipline but you wont win that with me. I actually saw Drew Brenner give the middle finger to the Ashland sideline after being called for an offensive pass interference. Are you kidding me? That kid jaws and runs his mouth the entire game and then that? THis is not Orrville football. This is just embarassing. We cant score 1 point on a defense that cant stop a cold? Oh because we have 4 plays in our arsenal and none of them work. Congrats to Ashland you are a better football team all the way around. I also saw Trevor White slam a kids helmet into the ground well after a play was over and lucky for him he got to stay in the game. Good job son! All i heard all preseason is how talented and great this team is and now they are on the brink of missing the playoffs. This team is not a playoff football team and doesnt deserve to be in. I cant blame the kids for just losing to a better football team but why week after week do we put up with the same undisciplined, non energized football program that we once called Red Rider Traidition? I know Davault took us far in the playoffs the last 2 years right? Well why on earth are we playing with zero tenacity each game this year with equal or more talent than we had on those 2 teams? Im not sure coach but you are about to let arguably the most talented team in Orrville history miss the playoffs because you refuse to make them better!

I would like to come to the Orrville booster club meeting next week and ask Davault for his resignation. Can someone tell me a day and time so I can show up to do that? We were outclassed tonite and Trevor White didnt even shake hands at the end of the game. SPortmanship is at an all time low in Orrville and I hate to say it but Drew Brenner should be kicked off the team after that display tonight. No wonder there arent any major D1 programs knocking on his door. He lacks discipline, sportsmanship, and most importantly common sense!

Looks like a drop from 5th to 7th in the region for next week, with 3 to go and Madison a must win game.
It also looks like Black River with a win tomorrow and Labrae, even with the loss tonight might edge past Norwayne for 2nd and 3rd next week.

He wasn't hurt until the last play of the second quarter. Worked well up to that point. All the non-believers can watch the film for tips.

The qb was hurt on the last play of the first half and finished the game with a high ankle sprain. The real diagnosis was kept secret through the 2011 season so adversaries didn't go for the ankle.
2. The qb would have ran for hundreds of yards if he had more than one leg giving those linemen something to do.
3. The irony is Ashland had their best offense in the second half. We laugh in Ashland when Carroll talks about his great idea.
4. CF's offense couldn't be stopped that night by the Arrow D...I'll give you that.
5. Good thing the honeymoon's over with Carroll in Coltland anyways. Just don't kick to the wrong player...he'll blame his player in the media for that.

We prefer to remember the 3 turnovers in 2 minutes and a few seconds and Ashland's 21 points. Before you say it, you had a whole quarter to come back and score.

But hey, isn't this a new year? We both miss those seniors of last year. Fun group to watch through junior high and high school.
Wow, nerve struck. Ha, Ha.

rrn...Are you "Insulting your town, your program, your tradition, yet again??? LOL!

Yet, you're right! What was all that nonsense in the last minute of the game where NONE of the coaches intervened and removed those players?

Series it pains me to speak out like this but what I saw last night from a sportsmanship level was an all time low for Orrville. That is the exact reason we need a change at the top. Hey bottom line is we lost to a better team but take your stripes and have some class and that display last night was an embarassment to the Orrville community especially after what happened the previous day. This town needed to come together last night and rally behind our football team after the loss of one of their players and Davault let these guys display the worst act of sportsmanship and class I have ever seen and embarrased most that were in attendance. Say what you want but this guy but he has to go and he can take everyone but Jason Haley with him.

You mean all those assistant coaches that line the fence/sidelines didn't show these young men how it's done?? They never yelled at the kids about what it meant to go before them and how to act on the field of play? I'm shocked....shocked I say!

Red Rider Nation - Thank you for telling all of us the truth! I have been attending football games in Orrville for a long time and last night was the end for me. I will not support a program where the kind of stuff that happened last night goes on. TRADITION, SPORTSMANSHIP, DISCIPLINE.....These were the foundation of a football program for as far back as I can remember. Not any more. SAD really. One of the most talented squads in a long time and we as fans get that. Ridiculous. Hey Red Rider Nation.....when you find out where and when the booster club meets....let me know and I will come in support of a major change in the program. Until change happens, and I see it, I am done with this program!!

RRnation..agree with you 100%. Discipline is a big issue right now. Our offense is terrible and that starts with play calling. We need a true offensive coordinator that can figure out what needs to be done to put our kids in a position to win games!

Speaking of the word "position". Why on earth is Graber, at 150 lbs soaking wet, the fullback???? Trevor Summers was a fullback before the line coaches had a pow-wow and decided that Summers needs to be a center. Here is a kid that has played FB ever since he started playing football and now all he does is snaps the ball??? He is 205 lbs and would be a great lead blocker, punishing runner, and is a play maker....but whats is matter cause our head coach has no clue how to get the ball in the playmakers hands anyhow...Summers at center is a waste of talent.

At no time during any of our first seven games have we had our "best 11" on the field. Trevor White plays zero offense?? Dylan Lemon plays half the plays on O and why on earth is Veirheller a guard?? 150 lb guard??? really??

Now the QB position....make me puke!! Tired of watching wide open receivers not getting the ball, tired of watching balls come out of his hand that look like a dead duck, tired of watching him have open field in front of him and not run, tired of him focussing in on only one receiver and throwing to that person regardless of how many guys are guarding him...and to his credit he is probably tired too of running to the sidelines after every play to get the next call...what is that about??? It si not hard to put in a number system or signals...but that falls on our O-coordinator aka head coach in our case.

Lastly, one positive...our defense. They bring it every week and it seems Coach Haley has it figured out! Maybe the head man in charge is the wrong man and should look to this assistant for some guidance on how to get the O going or just ask him to take the program, get some discipline back, start playing Red Rider football again, and start chewing some a$$ when kids do wrong and praise them when they do well...we have lost all of that...Coach Haley bring it back!

Egos...well I have typed enough, but we all know where I am going there...

THIS IS NOT RED RIDER FOOTBALL!!!

I have been making these statements all year and have been bashed on here for it. Nice to finally see everyone is realizing I was right from the start. Jason Haley should be the head coach of this team because he just gets it. His defense is prepared every game and his schemes are great. Davault has to go!

how many unsportsmanlike penalties did 52 and 11 have? They should have been removed from the game after the 1st one and ripped a new one then sit out a series or two. If I'm an opposiing team I target these two kids and bait them all game. can they handle it? we'll see. Offense has been predictable for years, we just had better athletes than most teams and they could make something out of nothing.

If all you side line ,fence line ,bleacher coaches think you can do a better job then apply for the job. I'm sure there will be some coaching positions open next year. But be prepared to be there all the time and get only praise when you're winning.

No problem. I will apply and have some damn discipline. Sounds like you are one of the coaches and just cant handle the pressure. Step aside and let someone else do this. If you arent gonna give it 100% then why even do it. THis program is in dissaray and you arent helping matters!

My prediction of 6-4 that everyone got on me and questioned me about it....well its coming to fruition! Sometimes you have to look and analyze a team without red rider or dad glasses on and see reality.

I've said it before and I will say it again....I and the rest of my senior teammates could sense a change in the program our senior year......which was Hoobler and miller's sophomore year in which they were giving those guys a lot of pt.....but the coaches acted so different towards them and we as seniors knew if we did something wrong we would here about it, but those young guys would get nothing....and you can see how far its getting out of hand.

Next Booster Club meeting is October 19th I believe at the high school. By the statements here, they better put out some extra chairs.

Old Rider,

I think we should move Summers to the running back position. We are too predictable when we run the ball. Defences are keying on Monhiem getting most of the carries. We need 2 capable running backs back there so that defences are never sure who will carry the ball. Trever is very capable of filling this position and there are others on the sideline who could fill the center position and others who could help with the size of the offensive line.
I feel it's unfair to throw this coaching staff under the bus. They work there buts off for this program. The team does need more disciplin and some of the seniors did lose there cool last night in the heat of battle. That's going to happen...they are kids who don't like to lose.
Hopefully some things will get fixed this week in practice.
