We may have to win out just to get a home game.

Not a lot of points on the table for the Ashland game, but it's big for other reasons.
With Manchester and Brookfield losing we should be solid 6th and it looks like Madison at 5-1 is the big computer point game now.

They are all big now...its week 7! Kyle had a pretty good game tonight. I was really concerned going in with the weather conditions. The kid had a gut check game. Turner had a big night, some great catches as was Lemmon's for the td...wow, how you can hold onto that in those conditions....nice effort is all I can say.

If NW would have won tonight, i'd agree with being 6th.....guess we'll see how it shakes out.

Two great one-handed catches by Turner that I saw.....Both back breakers!

It's Ashland week. I will start by saying I am the one who really gave Davault an earful last year after we lost the game to Clear Fork at home 33-0. It was unacceptable to play at home the way we did! I am challenging the coaching staff to have the kids prepared to play and have them motivated. It sets up the remainder of the season where we can decide our own fate. We cannot afford a repeat performance of last year.

Nice to hear we played well last night as I missed the game. I understand we only had 4 penalties and the usual suspects played well. Nice job goes out for a hard fought win!! I also like to hear no real injuries to speak of. I like the fact our health is getting better each week.

Nice to be able to let Drew heal up last night. Another week of easy does it on the ankle and he should be good to go.

I can't wait to hear a certain someone say that West Holmes just wasn't that good....and this win proved nothing.

;)

I agree BigFan, nice to hear about no significant injuries.

I think this week will be 2 teams hitting their stride. Ashland may be the best 2-4 team we've ever played. They might as well be 6-0...and hopefully we prepare as such.

Mason was the man tonight with the first and last touchdowns, somewhere around 160 rushing yards! Only 4 penalties and a couple looked very questionable. Looked like a shootout early on in the 1st half , back and forth to a 21-21 tie at half. Then suddenly defenses woke up in the second half and Mason's 44 yard td was it in the 2nd half. The young men played well all night and kept the Knights top rusher to 60-70 yards when they usually had 1 or 2 guys over 100 in a game. Considering the muddy conditions was happy to see turnovers were at 1 fumble and 2 ints is all I can remember.

In the OCC tonight

Orrville 28
W. Holmes 21

Ashland 38
Senior 6

Madison 15
Lexington 8

woooster 28
Clear Fork 7
(Looks like ringz will start a keep McCreary movement )

OCC standings
Orrville 2-1
Ashland 2-1
Clear Fork 2-1
Madison 2-1
W.Holmes 2-1
woooster 2-1
Senior 1-2
Lexington 0-3

We had no help from our 2nd level teams as Triway, Lexington, and Northwest ( 42-41 in OT) all lost :(
Wooster has 2 losses, Madison and Ashland. Five way tie for top not six.

Well that sure was a BIG win last night! BRF is still looking for the Tri-fecta, though. ;-). Maybe week 7?

OSU's offense looks so bad! Hopefully the browns can continue to win ugly games! Haha

Yeah I don't think Fickell is the answer for the Buckeyes.....

I think that is very unfair to put this on Fickell. Defense was stellar. Offense was built around Terell Pryor and there was noone else in the dugout. Add in suspensions and this is what you get. They will struggle this year for lack of QB,,,any team would. I like Fickell a lot I would like to see them give him a chance.

Yeah I get where you're coming from....I personally don't have a problem with him either and think he needs more than 1 year to see what he can do as the guy in charge. This is a very rough thing to walk into with all of the "negative attention" on the program.

You and I both know, at this level it's all about the Money and Wins.....and if they aren't meeting expectations 95% of the time the coach is gone.

It will really be interesting to see what happens after the season.

Your defense only gives up 10 points against a very good team, you need to win that game. We'll see how they look next week when they get the suspended players back.

Just downloaded tapatalk to read this board on my iPhone.....holy cow....what an improvement.

Now I can share my misguided opinions anywhere in the world. Who's excited???

Read that Chase Hoobler had a FF against PSU yesterday. They're team is terrible but he's doing well individually.

Still smiling about Friday. Everything was against us that night. weather, injuries, opponent on a roll, everything was perfect for them to get the victory. Except the fact that we are the Red Riders and I think we do best in those situations. We rally and dig in. We need to learn how to have that focus every week. We still need Lichti to be a confident runner. That will help him and us so much. Looks like a nice weather week coming up field should hold up nice, that gets us all the way to Wooster week with quite possibly the only field in the area that will be prime. Let' hope we are on a win streak still. Go Riders

Any predictions on where we'll land in this weeks computer rankings? Friday nights win was huge! Unfortunately it looks like most of our previous wins lost. Any ideas?
