Maybe Boise deserves more credit for not slipping up every year, like some others do (USC and OSU the last 2 seasons). They do what they are supposed to do every single game.

And yes, point spreads are relevant. It shows that no one takes OSU's opponents serious.

This ended up being a comparison of Boise and OSU's schedule, and that's fine. But my only point is to give credit where credit's do, and that it's ironic when Buckeye fans are so openly critical of Boise's schedule.

And as I said before, I was talking about the ACC, Big East and the Big 10. Admittedly that SEC, Pac 10 and Big 12 play tougher schedules week by week.

But what would the reaction be if Michigan State was undefeated and we were discussing their resume?

How is OSU losing at a top 10 team slipping up?

This is all I have to say. Ohio State will not return a trip to a team that could potentially threaten them, and I don't necessarily disagree with their practices. College football has degenerated into a multi-million dollar business.

By degenerated, you mean it has gotten worse? How so? When was it so much better?

Oregon vs. Boise
Auburn vs. TCU

Winners advance

Settle it on the field. If they aren't deserving and they do not belong on the same field they will lose.

I think he is saying that worst case scenario: we lose to Texas/Miami... it is understandable to the media because those are college football bluebloods and Ohio State can recover the rest of the season because of that.

A loss to TCU/Boise/upper tier mid major is a crushing because in many people's opinion, Ohio State shouldn't lose to those schools. Ohio State has absolutely nothing to gain.

So I guess we can all agree if they want to be considered seriously in the Big Boy sand box they need to go Independent, bend over take it in the ass for a couple years 'till they gain some rep then get a shot at a title if they survive.

Finally, a consensus.

Even if they did that, the system still isn't perfect. It appears as if we are going to have 4 unbeaten teams this year and two of them will be playing for the championship. Of the other two (one will resort to beating the bejesus out of a Big East/ACC school and the other will probably be left out all together)

Nevada lost to Hawaii, they are top 25 because of the same reason as Boise. Boise couldn't beat Oregon, Auburn, LSU, TCU, Stanford or Wisconsin. They're top ten, but not top 5. Not after this shit display. And after they lose, they will be out of the top five.

Honestly, who has Nevada beat to be deemed top 25? Boise deserves top 10 and even top 5 right now, but there is at least 5-6 teams better than BSU.

Doubt it. Even if TCU gets in, when they get destroyed in the title game, it'll just add more to Gee's case.

I'm interested to see what happens with Wisconsin. If they win, they stand to make a huge leap taking a lot of Boise's votes/points. LSU/Stanford can gain, as well, but I'm willing to bet that Wisconsin takes a big leap as a backup plan for an upset since LSU/Stanford aren't going to get into the title game over their conference counterparts even if those teams lose.

IF LSU beats #12 Arkansas, Wisconsin has NO chance of jumping LSU when they play a unranked Northwestern team.

We'll see. LSU isn't going to the title game even with an Auburn loss. Auburn isn't going to get into the title game if they lose. TCU lost a lot of luster with Boise's loss and the fact that they aren't playing the next couple weeks. I could be wrong, but if it comes down to it, I think Wisconsin (again assuming they win) if the team with the most to gain if #1 or #2 slip and that could start this week because voters know it becomes more difficult to do next week.

I hope its Auburn Wisconsin in the title game. If Ohio State can't stop their run, Auburn won't either. Badgers by 20+
