I think it time Griffin is the best PF in the game though, and Gordon will to be a top 5 SG in the game (again, personal bias is used lol).

You are right about practice. And it is actually the biggest knock I had on him, was his incredible drive and work ethic in practice (ie, scoring at will and taking over drills etc) and then in the games he deffered to Dj White, Jamarcus Ellis, Armon Bassett and at times Jordan Crawford. There was no need for it at any point. I always though DJ should get a touch every time down the court and EJ should be getting close to 20 shots a game for that team to live up to its potential. It just never happened because EJ was too passive in the games. Thats why I said its up to him to show his ability in the NBA. The thunderous dunks he has put down this year are a great start to him realizing he is explosive enough and good enough to take over games at this level. It has taken him much longer to realize this than others listed on this thread...which is one reason I think he can improve more than others still.

I really like Griffin, but the PF position is loaded in the NBA. I think he gets by more on pure athleticism right now and question how he does with the ball in his hands and his back to the basket. But that's being nit-picky.

I never see Gordon being a top 5 SG.

The display that Westbrook put on versus Rondo head to head is enough for me to put Westbrook ahead of him.

Remember, Rondo's assist number is greatly augmented by the fact he's playing with 3 Hall of fame quality scorers.

If ya put a gun to my head:

1. Paul
2. Williams
3. Nash
4. Westbrook
5. Rondo

With all respect to Gordon, while his scoring ability might be top 5-10, he's not a top 5-10 SG right now.

And Rondo lead his team to the finals last year carrying the rest of the "Big 3" and also won a title running the show for the Celtics.^^

Im similar.

1. Paul
2. Williams
3. Rondo (His playoff performances put him up here for me. Skill set wise, I think he is closer to 5/6)
4. Nash
5. Rose/Westbrook (I really cant decide)

Rondo is the Celtics best player, but I do think he gets more credit than he deserves. With that said, I put him in my top 5, no question.

1. Paul
2. Williams
3. Westbrook
4. Rondo
5. Rose

All apologies to Steve Nash.

I'm talking pure skill set. Listen, I love watching Rondo ball, but you need to be able to hit a jumper, which Westbrook can and Rondo can't (yet).

I know Rondo did WONDERS last post season, but it's easier to do that when playing with 3 finally healthy hall of famers. Just sayin....

I agree with that. But Rondo is a better ball-handler and passer. Both are great rebounding PGs, but Rondo might be a littler better at that as well.

That's true. And while I can certainly admit Rondo's ball handling and passing is better, it's not like Westbrook's is far inferior.

I know using only one game as a sample, especially a regular season one completely undercuts my argument, but just watching the tape from the Celtics Thunder game (thank you DVR), Westbrook won the battle and it wasn't even close, which is why I flipped Rondo and Westbrook at 4/5. Not a significant drop, I just think Westbrook is ahead in terms of being a complete PG, and did it all (against BOS) without KD.
