This is about a team's season...not about who's the bigger dumbass or whatever. Keep it on point and stop disrupting actual hockey conversations for page long "fuck you; no fuck you; NO fuck you" arguments.

Chris Kunitz is listed as probable for tomorrow nights game against Buffalo. I'm thinking Chris Conner will be sent down, no way you can take Dustin Jeffrey out of the lineup right now, kid's playing lights out.

Possible Lines:

Neal-Jeffrey-Kovalev
Kuntiz-Staal-Kennedy
Cooke-Letestu-Dupuis
Rupp-Adams-Talbot

^^^^I think you have Letestu and Jeffrey mixed up. Bylsma said he would put Kunitz with Staal and Kennedy. Again, I don't like taking Cooke away from that line, they are an absolute pain for the opponent to deal with on a nightly basis. I wouldn't mind seeing Kunitz out with Dupuis and Jeffrey, that could be a good line especially with Dupuis and Kunitz knowing each others game so well but Jeffrey isn't Crosby.

Need two points tonight!

I think Jeffrey and Letestu and interchangable at the moment. When it comes to Kunitz on Staal's LW it adds a more offense on that. Kunitz and Stall have shown in the past that they've got great chemistry.

^^^^I thought Letestu played really well in Boston the other night with Neal and Kovy, they just couldn't put it in the net. I know Kunitz and Staal had success together but it's a mistake to seperate Staal, Kennedy and Cooke......they've been scoring goals lately and they are just a real pain in the ass for the opposing team with their relentless pressure.

I like Kunitz on the same line as Staal, providing of course that Kunitz plays tonight.

I like having Cooke-Staal-Kennedy together when everybody is healthy, and when the 3 center model is in full effect.

Good to see Neal finally get a goal. A good 2 points, especially being the 1st home game after a long road trip.

Big win last night! Like I said, this team is starting to gel at just the right time. If Crosby returns they are legit Stanley Cup contenders.

BTW, the Pens gave a three year contract extension to head coach Dan Bylsma today.

Despite juggling his lines like crazy, Bylsma is a good coach and has progressed this season to warrant a 3yr renewal.

Agreed. Two points from the top in the East wtih missing Malkin and Crosby for this long, an dmuch of the early season Staal. Impressive

Precisely. They've been decimated by injuries, but have kept the fourth seed and still have a legit shot at the #1 (two points behind Philly, but having also played two more games, which admittedly hurts). Man, and I was totally terrified that the complete and utter collapse into obscurity that some were predicting was actually happening! ;)

Looks like Sports Illustrated thinks Cooke is the dirtiest player in the NHL.

Honestly, good. There's a big part of me that likes guys on my team to have a reputation. It can get into peoples' heads. You'll be skating down the rink, running down the field, standing at the plate, driving to the hoop and there will be a part of your brain more focused on if he's going to defend your offense or just take you down by whatever means necessary.

Guys like that fit into good teams. Claude Lemieux was a horrible, horrible man (ask Kris Draper), but he was a successful one. Cooke's NOWHERE near as talented, but he fills his role. Intimidation.

I'm too cynical to care about my guys being Lawful Good Paladins. I get that with the Pirates where I watch naive, idealistic young men get tortured by the aura of defeat to the point where only the best can even hope to have productive careers elsewhere (for every Jason Bay, there are many Ian Snells). I want murderers who win. The rule of sports is that you love those guys when they're on your team (unless they descend to the level of "pathetic fuck who offers nothing but cheap brawling") and want them killed painfully and publicly when they're on another team.

I like the hanging around in 4th or 5th place and getting Sid back later this month just in time to make some noise in the post season.

He received a FIVE minute major Einstein, obviously the refs thought it was cheap.

Speaking of Matt Cooke, how's Savard's cranium doing these days?

"The refs even said there was nothing dirty about it," Recchi said when asked about a possible suspension or any intention from Chara on the hit. "There wasn't anything dirty about it from what they said. … When a guy gets hurt, they have to call it, and that's what their explanation was. They said it was not dirty by any means."
