They blew their load during the regular season. Plus, they have a terrible goaltender tandem. Bob is ok, but not Boucher.

I'll take who ever we get. Pittsburgh can play with any one in the league.The_Crosby_Show;734397 wrote:I want no part of Washington or Montreal right now.

I think either would provide interesting story lines from a media coverage perspective. Montreal with beating the pens last season and if they play Washington with Crosby back, you'd have the biggest stars in the league playing each other.

Price was on fire last night, wouldn't want to face him in the playoffs.

Listened to a radio interview with Bylsma and he says the Pens are strictly focused on winning the game and not revenge tomorrow night on Long Island as the Pens play the Islanders for the first time since the goonism debacle put on by the Isles the last time these teams played. I'm sure the Pens will have that game etched in their memories come next year, too much to play for in this game.

I call bs on that one. Byslma is making sure not to say anything that would get any of his players in trouble. I look for some type of payback.

I'll be surprised if there's an issue. Its in the past....time to move on and play the game.
I'd really like to see a complete ass beating....but I think it will be close.

Pittsburgh Penguins Draft pick Simon Despres was named the 2010-2011 QMJHL Defenseman Of The Year

There's an issue but the Pens will deal with it next year. I can see the first meeting between these two being an all out brawl.Automatik;735440 wrote:I'll be surprised if there's an issue. Its in the past....time to move on and play the game.

I agree, the best thing Pittsburgh could do is humiliate the Islanders on the scoreboard.

Not surprised, without Cooke on their team not sure who would "get revenge". They're soft to begin with anyways.

Of course I'd like to see him come back, but if was told to sit for the remainder I would be fine with it. I was unaware that he was only cleared for "light workouts."

I don't get how football players can come back so soon from concussions but hockey players are out for months. I know it's been brought up in the thread before but it'd be nice to hear an actual explanation

My guess is the severity of the concussion and continuing to suffer from post concussion symptoms.

Colton Orr would disagree with your statement.

I doubt things will get out of hand tonight. It's too close to the playoffs and the Pens can't risk losing players to suspension.
That being said, Eric Godard AND Deryk Engelland are both in the lineup tonight......

Pens up 1-0 after 1. The Isles are trying to goon it up. Gillies and Godard with a fight (there's a shock). Isles with 36 minutes of penalties, Pens with 26.
Watching the Isles feed. Their announcers are hilarious. Whining and crying about the officiating.
Must be a big game...Colin Campbell is in attendance. Probably to hold disciplinary hearings right after the game instead of waiting...

Pens win 4-3 in another SO. Clinched home ice advantage for at least the 1st round.
Flyers and Sabres tied at 3 late in the 3rd.
