Pens are having a bad start to the new year. They are 1-3 since the start of the new year, with a loss to their rivals in the winter classic. The rest of the month doesn't get easier for them either as 5 of their next 7 games will be vs winning teams. They definitely need sid back.

Obviously. It's like the Pats without Brady.

IMO, Sid will sit until he's 100%. You know how the NHL works, when these guys find out the exact injury of a player they try to exploit it. We don't want another scenario when Sid was rushed back too soon from a high ankle sprain a couple years ago only to get injured again. Sid's going to have guys coming at him hard and eventually someone's going to clock him, important that he doesn't suffer another concussion.
BTW, I was listening to Pascal Dupuis during a radio interview Friday, he says that the Pens have taken note of a couple cheap shots delivered to Sid (one which injured him) and he promised that they will get even........the next game against the Caps and Lightning will be very interesting.

Where was he talking about this when Cooke laid out Marc Savard? At least Cooke got his when Kane knocked his ass out cold.

The BIG difference in that play is Cooke was around the puck, Crosby was levelled away from the play both times. We will see if Steckel and Hedman have the same amount of courage as Cooke does, Cooke dropped the gloves on his first shift the next time they played Boston. Rest assured the Pens will look to settle the score, especially with Steckel.

BIG difference?!?! He blindsided him in the head with his elbow! How is that a big difference? He knocked Savard out for months, and crosby should be back soon, yeah the big difference is Cookes hit was a lot worse. He made no play for the puck and hit him well after he shot. Dumbass.

LMFAO......I'm a dumbass because you can't deal with the truth! Crosby was hit twice far far away from the play, especially Steckel's shot which should have drawn atleast a penalty. There's big difference......so what if Cooke didn't play the puck he choose to hit him, besides, Savard was playing the puck! That hit by Cooke was dirty, I'm not denying that but it happened in the course of play around the puck..........nice try Einstein!

I'm sure you read that article, but since you're a homer you just ignored it and probably cried out for a suspension. Elbows to the head are illegal, Steckel used his shoulder, which is legal in hockey, who knew? Crosby was able to skate off the ice and remember what happened, Savard was carted off and didn't remember the incident. And Cookes hit didn't happen near the puck, it was well after Savard shot it, so if top of the face off circle is near the crease then yes, cooke was around the puck when he elbowed Savard. Such a homer dude...pitt players can do no wrong your book!!

Well after the play Einstein? Get a fucking clue! That's right, NO Pittsburgh player can do wrong in my eyes.......NONE...........so go cry me a fucking river you loser!
Steckel's hit on Crosby was a CLEAR cheap shot, the puck was all the way down at the other end of the ice as Crosby was watching the play while heading to the bench. It's one thing to keep your head up while your involved in the play, it's another when you getting ready to head to the bench. You're such a clueless hater it's not funny! BTW, who do you support jackoff.......let me guess.......Buffalo? Loser!

It was his shoulder not elbow.
