IMO Harbaugh is probably not interested in coming back at this time. Stanford is a great situation for him. If Pizza Boy can't line up a Harbaugh or Myles behind the scenes before the bowl game, Dickie's job is safe.
Stanford also only fills half of their stadium and they're ranked in the top five in the country! With Harbaugh it all depends on his NFL aspirations, because he's not going to stay at Stanford over Michigan just because he loves Stanford so much. Obviously Stanford is a nice situation now, but he'll have a hard time competing there against Oregon and all their money and facilities, and USC will be back dominating California recruiting as soon as they are off probation. Although he'd have a hard time competing in the Big Ten against OSU and all of their money and facilities too. He's not going to turn down Michigan because he really loves Stanford. He'd turn down Michigan because he doesn't think he'll be in the college game that much longer.
As a Buckeye fan I hope he doesn't end up in Ann Arbor though because I'd be scared that he'd get them competitive and quick. If they fire Rodriguez (which I think at this point they will, but not until January after his buyout is cut in half) I hope they at least hire a coach smart enough to continue to run a similar offense until he has his player in place, instead of running an offense that maximizes their weaknesses and minimizes their strengths like RR did when he arrived at Michigan.
