The current owners have no business owning a professional franchise. You can not try to make money out of it or you never will. Mark Cuben is a good example of a great owner.

I get the impression that baseball doesn't want Mark Cuben. He wanted to buy the Pirates and they wanted no part of it. Honestly, if you are a fan of a team....how could you not want a guy that you know will spend every last dollar he has to win a championship. It is like he is being blackballed in baseball.

I agree 100% I do not see why no other team would like to be like the Yankees. Lets face it, if Mark Cuben took over a team they would be tittle contenders within 2 years IMO.

V-Mart liked it here. Tribe probably could have got him for less. Could use a 1B/DH/C that could actually hit. But no...we'll take Matt Laporta and his .225 ave....and Travis Hafner...and Carlos Santana and his busted knee.
