Massillon legally recruits too. How are things coming along for the combine?

Once again buy another joke book.

So you are essentially saying that back then better teams did not make the playoffs? Couldn't those better teams also not be included in the previous AP votings? Then you say that now the playoffs are flooded with teams and stating that due to injuries a better team can lose? Isn't that in all sports that have a bona fide playoff system? The bottom line is this if Massillon was so great to have been awarded so many paper titles then they should have won at least one in the past 40 years. Heck even their rival has won three.
You are not from Ohio and obviously you dont know how it was . See back in the day public schools could do the same thing as private schools do .. Do you now see a little bit of the light ?

Bullshit. What happened so drastically that they couldn't win it in the first 10 years?

Because "open enrolling" every decent football player in the WV panhandle keeps you guys at such a disadvantage to a private school such as SCC...

And with OPEN enrollment Massillon legally recruits also. The problem is that they either don't do it right or they are so stupid they take the wrong kids. As far as recruiting in Oregon you guys dropped the ball again. Iggy gets the stud and Massillon gets the dud.

First of all, it's, "Iggy gets the studS, not stud....studS. Secondly, hope you feel good about calling a 17 year old kid a dud. Thirdly, if the Williams kid had "rented an apartment", near Solon, Brecksville, Rocky River High School, instead of "renting one near Ignatius", he may not have been as successful. No wait, yeah, he probably would have been, I think all of those schools are on the Ignatius "travel list." And finally, as far as our "dud" goes, right now he's leaning toward the offer from West Virginia, but who knows, he may just change his mind and go to Stanford.

I will take the "also" as an admittance of guilt. Furthermore, no public school, "legally" recruits.

I see ads in the newspaper all the time promoting public schools here in Cincinnati. That's called recruiting. And it is perfectly legal.

My niece got a letter from Cincinnati School of Creative and Performing Arts encouraging her to audition for admission to the school and touting all the past alumni and what they have done after graduating from the school. That's recruiting. And it's legal.

Quit being so obtuse.

You mean the same thing the the parochials have mastered with their TV commercials, one of which is done by St Edward and reaches MY TV all the way down here in Massillon?

Congrats on the new word.

Point being? If TV commercials were considered illegal recruiting, wouldn't St. Ed be in trouble with that by now? And who cares how far it reaches in the state? Any public school can be statewide open enrollment and do the exact same thing.

I fail to see an issue here. But since you have it in your mind, there is no way to convince you that there is nothing illegal about that.

In several weeks, Massillon will bring in several of the top high school players from multiple states for a workout. Massillon has the best high school facilities in the state and has the opportunity to use those as a recruiting tool when they bring in the studs for a workout. I know many Tiger fans have mixed feelings on whether or not they should be doing everything that they have done recently to bring in players. Some are in favor of it, while others argue that bringing in kids from all over hasn't helped the team win their first state title. You are the only Massillon fan that I know of that completely denies that they recruit players.

Why would they choose not to attract new students to their school system? That's ridiculous. Why wouldn't they try and fill empty sets to gain the additional State dollars ?

Yes. Exactly that. Why wouldn't a public school seek to get more quality student athletes? Shame on them if they don't.

They do, as you said they should. But we all know that we're talking about two completely different things here. You boys can spin and spin and spin some more, you can sit-n-spin for all I care, you know what I'm talking about. ATHLETIC PURPOSES.

The St. Edward TV ads were not for athletic purposes. You referenced them. They are legal recruiting tools. A pubic school can do the same. No inuendos. No implications. No spin. Exactly what was posted above. That's all.

You are a liar. I didn't change your quote, only unintelligent people who can't think of anything to say do that, (Landusky), I did fix it however.

Good to see that you didn't change my quote
Are you willing to do an avatar/signature bet on whether or not there will be underclassmen from schools other than Massillon working out at the Massillon combine?

No I'm not because I know there will be underclassmen there, always have been. I never said there wasn't. So you can continue to use whatever ignorant signature/avatar you want, I could care less. Again, you seem really concerned with the combine here in Massillon, if it bothers you so much, maybe you should contact Nike and voice your concerns. Or therapy, maybe therapy would be the better option.

Care to do a bet that there will be kids who didn't attend a parochial grade school at the Cleveland area parochial school combine? You know, the one for middle schoolers?

I don't have a problem with it. I'm just using it as example of you being a hypocrite. You complain about private schools recruiting, but you are ok with massillon bringing in underclassmen for a workout. We all know that if Iggy or St. Ed brought in massillon kids for a tryout, you would be the first complaining about it.
