What I really want to watch and I'm sure rider coaches have the tape was what did OG do to shut genoa down. The OG D must have known something because they did the job on the genoa running game. Pretty impressive holding you guys to 7 points.

A big part of the low score (on both sides) was ball control to chew up the clock. Not sure if that was a concious decision or just the way it worked out given both teams style of play.

One thing I will say for orrville QB. I know many genoa posters do not think a tough strength of schedule means much but I do know usually these teams we play (3 of them made playoffs) have a good pass defense. That said I do believe our QB will have decent poise considering the quality of opponents he has faced week after week. EC was pretty darn good and fast.

OG was a great team. They would have been number one in the region if half the team would have not got in trouble and suspended for two games in the middle of the season. OG was a run first team and could not do it against genoa. That is why they went to the spread. They where great at stoping the run but Genoa did move it on them.

I'm surprised you guys don't have "Smuckers Field"............They won't pony up any dough for the schools?

Something interesting both teams barely win first playoff game. Genoa by 1 Riders by 2. Both teams both win second game partially because of the opponents turnovers.

Just out of curiousity, what is the toll for Genoa fans taking the turnpike?

Excellent video...it's the exact opposite of bitter sweet to Orrville fans...but excellent video quality.

There is a drama club event at Avon Lake that same night. Half of the parking spots at the school will be reserved for that. Better to not even plan on parking at the school.

Wasnt OG without the services of their #1 back? Not saying Genoa didn't do a great job on defense, but they're a run-first team without their top gainer. I'm sure that had at least something to do with their offensive struggles.

Here's the map of parking & shuttle service....

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4M54RTxuIEY/TOSOSWXLDRI/AAAAAAAABRs/jzm97xTg2A4/s1600/AvonLake.jpg - should be able to zoom in and get a pretty detailed view. Could even print it out and take it with you.

Note that some lots are free, some are $2, and the lot north of the stadium is off-limits.

Free Shuttle service from Bleser Park (north of the stadium) and from Towne Center Shopping Plaza (south of the stadium on Rt 83).

So classy poster doesnt say genoa is unstoppable and totally amazing he makes pretty valid points actually lol.. He's pointed out how the QB has struggled in the games that they lost and if Genoa gets pressure on him it'll make a difference.. So i'm confused on one part here.. Orrville people said CF had a better running game then Genoa last year.. and when they watch the Genoa CF game they say if you have the ability to run you can run on Genoa.. making it seem like any team that wants to run the ball can... so is CF a great running game or no?

I would have to apply the Harbin-Pasteur-Calpreps formula to figure that out. Perhaps that would be a job for Pitman! :-)

After watching that film again it is scary how Turner looks like Miller on the field. By the time it is all done Turner could be better. Good stuff

Nice job with the map Redrider1 - should save a lot of agrivation Friday afternoon.

So - to anyone familiar with the area: I'm thinking about getting off I90 at Rt 611 (exit 151) and take Moore road all the way north to Rt 6, then follow Rt 6 east along the lake to Bleser Park and park there. After the game it looks like it might be possible to just drop south on Moorewood Ave and sneak into B-dub's from the back way. It would seem that Rt 83 would be a real mess both before and after the game. Any thoughts/advice?

^^Whole area seems like a mess to me. A poster many, many pages back on this thread said it wasn't the most well-run venue. Too bad b/c the field itself looks amazing....hope everyone leaves plenty early and the shuttles buses are plentiful.

Yes they where. But they had more than one good running back. Any team that is run first should be able to still run some with out there best back. They where held to -3 yards rushing in the second half. I know CF ran on them but they have one of the best running games I have ever seen in high school football(great zone blocking). Also I do not feel Genoa had the right run defense in place to stop what they where doing. Just my thoughts.
