Those that have no connections to Genoa can leave whenever they want and for the latter maybe it's best they leave early and stay out of the weather haha. I stayed after the game and there were still several hundred Genoa fans congratulating their young heroes on a great season. I think that is pretty cool in itself.
i agree i just think it was crap the cops giving us grief about going on the field a couple of us almost got arrestedbut was down there for a while my self

The cops gave you grief about going on the field because the School doesn't want to take any chances with their brand new field. It's a rule most schools have, to keep fans off the field.

Nope just a brother. I'm 2" shorter than him so I'm not quite a tower.

Yeah for being how tall he is, he was deceitfully very good for that size. I was impressed! What was he 6'9"?

Yes. Then he was 6'9" about 260. Basketball has slimmed him down a bit and now he is 6'10" 235. He was good enough for 3rd team all-state and a slew of football offers, but bball is where his heart is.

Yes, he is a Rocket. He is already off to a great start as a freshmen, but as this is a football forum I won't get into the details. If you'd like me to blab all about how he is doing I'm afraid you'll have to send me a PM. I will gladly do it there. I don't want to hijack this thread, even though I am his biggest fan.

never ever in my life have I ever seen a defensive scheme where they had that guy at linebacker depth and down in a 3 pt stance? that was goofy.

Well, here's the truth about Genoa's d- playbook. It's shameful, but it has to come out.
No one will name names, but apparently one of our coaches just started chatting it up with Spiece. They got him talking about favorite restaurants and our coach asked where the nearest TGIFriday's was. While Spiece was drawing him a map, another coach snuck in and grabbed the playbook. He then covertly handed it to his cousin the referee to safely dispose of the evidence.
While some may consider this to be dishonest, we should applaud the courage of our staff. Risking their personal reputations, with little chance of getting away with it, and with little to gain, they went ahead and did it anyway. That my friends, is how you win playoff games.

It was very cool that 6 or 8 of the 11 seniors from last year were able to make it to the game and were down on the field after to talk to the players and coaches. I think it meant a lot to this year's seniors to see their old teammates there to support them. A lot of hugs between old friends. Pretty nice to see.

4QuarterPounders: It kinda reminds me of Watergate! However, be prepared to have some Genoa fans take you seriously!
