Ok really about ur whole celebration thing first off we stayed on the field for ur trophy presentation i thought thats what u were supposed to do its called sportsmanship first of all second u guys ran down to the other side of the field and after the game we always meet at mid field for after game prayer win or loose maybe if u had some sportsmanship you would of joined us cause its not about the whole candle thing its about god and im pretty sure most of u believe in him so ya we do that every game win or loose and so fay every team joined us except for yours so if u would of done that we prob would have went to the other side of the field but u were to worried about celebrating to rember that you are still sportsman b/c after the game the few fans remaning the true ones had to fight our way onto the field with the cops while ur fans were pileing onto the field and red rider really we teach our kids we are all family we r tight nit group and like i said if your team would have joined us we prob. would of went down the field but since we were doing prayer and you guys were already off celebrating at the end of the field why would we move you guys were doing ur thing we were doing ours so just deal with the actions that were taken and stop dwelling on the situation you guys won we lost you move on we dont Good luck next week see you next year

FYI We have a team Chaplain and praising God and giving thanks is the first thing that happens. Our apologies for not joining you but it is just our thing. The police would not let us near your team, I tried, because as a parent and supporter of high school kids I would have liked to congratulate and wish well to your team. Hence we had to stay at the end of field. RR1 is right we are picking nit and probably was not the right time to bring it up. If you think it is appropriate, well that is that then. I just think a little grace toward the Regional Champions would be nice. You are 'Used" to doing your gathering wherever you want because you most always win....our point exactly...it is not all about you in every game. When you are not the winner.....defer.

Maybe they should have asked us to join them in a prayer, we aren't mind readers....just football players. We have our own team prayer....
Now I am down here at Polaris mall wearing my Orrville football hoody, I have gotten about 10 Congrats from different people. One of those being a clear fork coach!! He was awesome and really said after they beat his Colts he knew we would take care of them. He was hoping for a rematch with us, but is on the Orrville bandwagon!

Nice to hear QB. Really is a shame they have to separate the teams like that....but I guess problems would arise. too bad really.

Dufendock. He's a whiner and a sore loser...just like his buddy Hillabrand. Heard he was being a mouth in the pregame captains meeting/coin toss.

Hey Genoa, be proud of your win streaks and SLL titles and playoff appearances all you want. Sure, it would be nice to win a title, but really, you are so awesome in your home league, who needs it? Those SLL championship T-shirts look pretty impressive and maroon is pretty much a year-round color--you can wear it anytime.
But a stud kicker missing a PAT two years in a row? Both drives in our territory ending with fumbles? Your QB alone on an island with only our LB's to keep him company on rollouts? Your running game shut down and really having no other options? To you, these things mean nothing. Your coaches weren't dumbfounded. After all, you had all the answers you needed, just needed a break or two to go your way. Keep right on thinking that. Playoffs are about figuring out how to get to the next level, but since you are already there, no need to worry.
We only ask that you leave the middle of the field open for the winners of next years game, OK? You guys go have the memorial service for your great season in the end zone.
I would be proud of the amazing progress you've made in four years too, but don't act like you've arrived and losing two years in a row is just a cosmic mistake. Don't act like you were the team that deserved to be in the middle of the field last night just because you think you're the better team. Better teams lose playoff games all the time to teams who know how to find a way to win.
Here's to hoping you finally catch the breaks you think you are owed in the playoffs next year.

If he had enough energy to do this, than it's obvious he didn't leave it all on the field......Quote Originally Posted by OrrvilleQB View Post

Story time. There were so many good ones from last night. I enjoy reading other's, too.
Sooooo, when the score was tied at 6 and things weren't looking so hot, THERE was 5knots pacing the sidelines right in front of me. I got his attention so I could talk him "off the cliff" by saying, "Everything's gonna be OK". And then I gave him one of those nifty Rider towels that the cheerleaders were passing around. BUT, I have to admit, I was also feeling pretty much the same way. It was kinda like Custer telling that to his men! However, I was right, correct 5knots?
(BTW...............keep your hands off my sister!)..................Ha ha!

Was nice to meet ya RR1...but I gotta take issue with that statement. I was out at the coin toss and the only jawing came from the officials announcing their names to the players and then going thru the coin toss.

haha...it all stems from the those old High School Homecoming courts when I was just a lad in a Catholic grade school with nothing but Nuns around me and then I go to the Homecoming game and see all these beauties. I still remember back then the girls would be sitting along the track and people (mostly kids) would be in line during the game to walk thru the "receiving" line to congratulate the Queen and her court and maybe get a little kiss on the cheek! Well for this little Altar boy..."wow" what a night! I always tell my wife I kissed her older sister before I ever kissed her. haha. Oh....and the best part was there was not a limit to how many times you could go thru the line....what a night! I am sure your sister remembered me!

It was how a certain someone introduced himself to our fellas....not really important to go into details.

I was gonna add...unless he said something as they shook hands before leaving the field. Went back and looked at my pics and his mouth is shut in all of them, but he's not in frame when they are shaking hands.

well i agree i would of liked to go over and say congrats to ur kids and wish them well the following week all i was saying is we did not disrespect u in staying in the middle of the field like i said if u would haved joing us after prayer we prob. would have gone down the field to let u celebrate after all its a great accomplishment ur in the final 4 but since u were already down at the other end of the field to celebrate there was no reason for us to move also the cops were trying to keep us off the field all together and all we were trying to do is congradulate our team for a good game and great season they called for backup and all finally we said F-it and said what r they gonna do arrest us all and just went after that they stood between us like there was gonna be a brawl or something so that was really on the cops for keeping you down there not on us and yes were r used to winning the past four years before that we couldnt buy a win your team and some of the fans def not all have all the respect in the would from us and congrats on the championship i think you will get through next week for sure but will have a battle on ur hands in the championship game good luck and until next year and we will see you guys one way or another!
