Genoa! Six hundrit ninety six tuh nuttin
I bet he can put an end to all this kum-bay-yah stuff between us LOL

I wish I sounded as uneducated as that. I'm not trying to "stir the pot" with my picks, they are just honest opinions. I mean Genoa fans last year called me crazy for picking us over Eastwood by 42 and Edison by 47 and I was called stupid and a fool and look at the scores. I didn't say Genoa by 21 so I could make Orrville fans angry I did it based on the fact that their QB last year made plays out of nothing when the pocket folded and really was a poised guy. This sophomore they have gets flustered and by looking at his numbers it's obvious that a defensive that will break the pocket down as much as Genoa can will mentally break him down and the wheels are going to fall of the Riders offense. Also Genoa is much better against a vertical passing attack than last year and don't sit back and give up big plays

Trust me you do sound uneducated!

What do you mean by numbers? How can you say he gets flustered and breaks down mentally by looking at numbers?

Have you watched film on the Riders, and do you know our QB personally? Yeah didn't think so

Wow! I went out to blow some leaves at 4:00 and now, click..click...BOOM...50 posts BLOW. by. And good Chatter, too! BRF is happy to see all the mutual respect being shown! The great majority of Genoa fans are showing me this. I like.

On getting to the game, the school put out directions that I personally wouldn't take and suggest an hour and a half (that would be correct the way they are sending people).

BUT, included is that once you are in the area, there is going to be a shuttle service. This is something that fans of both teams may be interested in. I will provide exact details later.

Here's to a great night of football!

Was that a "burn" on someone I just read?

The "official" school directions are sendind Rider fans up 57 to 76 west to 71 north. Then take the turnpike west to Lorain Road (exit 152). Then go on Lorain for 3 miles and take a right on 83.for 11 miles. Good luck.

If you can find your way to Town Center Plaza at the corner of 83 (Avon Belden) and Walker, that is where one of the shuttle services will be running (Bdubs is pretty much right there).

Avon Lake City Schools will be providing the shuttle services. "Shuttle buses will run all evening beginning at 6;00 pm and continue through until 30 minutes after the completion of the game. Bus drop off for the game and pick-up for return trip will be by the baseball field in the High School North parking lot."

Here is a link to the highlight video for last year's Genoa-Orrville game. Still kind of bittersweet to watch. Hope you like it.

I've got a question for you Orrville guys.......Is there one coach in particular that started your schools success in football?? And how long has your current coach been at the helm?? I'm just curious, because I am still so amazed at what Vicars has done in Genoa.......And the thought of him leaving before this program can stand on its own is terrifying......I would just hate to see this fall apart.........

Want to give a shout out to some senior players that without them there probably would be no week 13. Graber, Groves, Reusser and Vance these guys up front have been the power in the trenches. Great seniors having a great season. You guys make us proud!! Go out Friday and show everybody that our guys up front can play with the best of Div.4 .

BRF - thanks for the info on the shuttle bus. I should be rolling into Avon Lake around 5:30 so hopefully I can find parking at the school - but good to know about if it's really crowded early.

I did not know they gave places to the water boy on the golf team. Poster 58 you have already showen you know nothing about football. Just because you get lucky on a few scores does not mean you know what you are talking about. If I say the sun is going to come up tomorrow does that make me a expert on the weather?

Look at your 3 losses...
Despite a huge performance out of Simpson your Sophomore QB is responsible for 4 turnovers...2 picks and 2 bad exchanges on handoffs that were his fault in a tough loss to Copley
Better performance against Ashland going 14-22 and 206 yards but Ashland also likes to play shootout style
Against Clear Fork he was torn apart with no ground game goin 6-17 with 42 yards and a pick

The sophomore QB was thrown into the lions den with huge pressure on him against a very good schedule. He is 3-0 since CF loss. EC was a great team he played well against them. It is always tough playing a good team twice so Triway was another good performance. He is clearly improving. I'm not exactly sure what your overall point is. If we suck like you think everybody will know by 10:30 friday night. My guess is that you want us to stink and are trying to type it into reality. Type hard and fast because this Rider team will be there and will be ready!!

Classyposter58 you always send the impression that genoa is so unstoppable. The offense will roll over you and the defense will just stop dead in your tracks. If that is the case why didn't the offense roll over OG and the defense stop CF dead in its tracks?

Here is what most people do not know about Genoa's secondary. They have not played to stop the pass all season. None of the spread teams Genoa has faced have had the talent to make them do that. The reason the DB's look shakey is because Nutter and Roberts are left alone with no safety help. There for they are told to play off there man so they do not get burnt deep. So most teams adjusted to this and started throwing short 5 to 8 yard passes. This makes the corners look bad. This is also why when other teams got inside the 30 they had trouble passing. Inside the 30 Nutter and Roberts play up on the man because they do not have to worry about getting burnt deep. Because they do this the safety's can play the run and blitz. Also alot of our sacks are covarage sacks. This is not true for every play but this is how it was most of the time. I do not think Genoa shows up with this defense this week. If they do they are in trouble.

I watched the CF genoa game. It was clear if you have a running game you can run on genoa. What I really want to watch and I'm sure rider coaches have the tape was what did OG do to shut genoa down. The OG D must have known something because they did the job on the genoa running game. Pretty impressive holding you guys to 7 points.

I'm not sure how good OG was passing or how good their receivers were but I will venture to say that Orrville probably does have the best receivers that Genoa has seen this year. The question is and has been " Can the QB get them the ball ". Lately the QB has been doing better especially when it comes to throwing picks. That caused us problems for quite a while but has been much better lately.
