You only rep. your hometown team when they're good...you = fairweather.

Glad I could help out.

So invisible lines should be the ultimate decider in who a person roots for. Got it.

lmao.

So people in Hoboken can't root for the Knicks?

They can, but they would clearly be considered stupid bandwagoners. The rules are very well laid out.

Indeed. These rules are set in stone. Rock solid. Impenetrable.

The bandwagon rules should be added to the list of rules new members have to read over and agree to before their accounts are active. This would eliminate a lot of headaches from when the pissing matches break out.

You must bandwagon the team that is the most successful in the state from which you obtained your GED. FACT.

The thing that's blowing my mind is how I shift from being a random bandwagoner to a stupid bandwagoner from one part of the year to another. Summer with the Pirates...I'm stupid. Fall/winter with the Steelers and Penguins...I'm regular. Must be the cool fall air that wakes my brain cells up.

And since my brain is working now that the Pirates are no longer playing, here are some IMPORTANT FUCKING QUESTIONS!!!

1. Let's say you've long been a fan of an out-of-state team in a sport where your state doesn't have one. And then, your state suddenly either gets an expansion team or an existing team moves in. Are you a bandwagoner if you continue to cheer for the team you've cheered for over the duration of your fanhood, as opposed to waking up one morning and being like, "FUCK DEM GUYZ!!!! I GOTS A NEW TEAM TO FOLLOW!!!"?

2. If you're a soccer fan, do you immediately become a bandwagoner the instant you start following a Euro-league team? Last I checked, Europe isn't in Ohio.

3. Now this is a real rough one. How does moving from place to place tie into things? Like, I can guess that if you lived in one city for 50 years and then moved to Florida, you'd still be expected to maintain your relationship with that city's teams. But what if you, for whatever reason, have moved from state to state with frequency...do you have to stick with your birth-state teams, or should you go with the teams in the state you've lived the longest, or do you simply switch all allegiances anytime you move?

4. Let's say that in the next 5 years, the Cavs fold/move out of Cleveland and the Miami Heat move to Columbus. Would this "not gonna happen" hypothetical make it so Clevelanders would have to cheer for LeBron again? After all, he'd be in Ohio for the only Ohio team!

But I believe Ohio is part of Europe. This became true in the same article of the Geneva convention as the "with all due respect" law.

It would figure that band wagoners are taking offense to the rules of fandom.

I'm guessing you guys root for Russia or China in the olympics as well?

You know what makes me a fan? I STILL watch the Bengals each week despite them continually shooting themselves in the foot. It's bad watching an all-around team who you know will lose, but the Bengals actually have talent and can tease you into thinking "there's a chance" when really, there isn't.

Best post on here. I can't respect any "fan" who has teams on two opposite coasts. You really think that Yankees or Lakers title feels as great for that fan as opposed to the fans who actually live in that city, and have a legitimate reason to be fans of that team?

He is always desperate to find some support when people make him out to be what he is.... an idiot.

This thread's hidden agenda was for the bandwagoners to unite! Just look at the certain posters getting their panties in a bunch and recognize who they root for.

You live in NY for what, about a month, and you already smell your own shit for pleasure. Get over yourself.
Automatik;555261 wrote: But in general.....support who you want...who really gives a fuck.

If you truly have this "who really gives a fuck attitude" then you bandwagon/fair weather fans shouldn't get your panties in a bunch when we call you out for being such.

On a side note. I read in the paper today that the Bengals are not expected to sell out their stadium next week for their game..... Yup as I have always said, most Bengals fans are fair weather/bandwagon fans.

Pittsburgh Steelers
OSU Football
OSU Basketball

other than that I don't really "follow" any teams. I will go to Clippers and Blue Jackets games because they are here, but beyond that I have no interest

Knicks...having lived on the east coast, just the fans, Pirates...represent Pittsburgh, so they get the shit eye by default, Dave Winfield, and "we are family"? seriously, ND...due to their independent status that gave them an NBC contract, always hated that.

More than anything though old habits are hard to break ya know?

I'm friends with a girl on facebook who's always talking about the Yankees in baseball and the Colts in football. I wanna tell her to shut the fuck up, she obviously roots for these teams because they're good.

1. you root for the new team (see OKC Thunder)

2. Yes, rooting for europe is gay. Plus it fucks with the world cup.

3. Moving doesn't effect it, you root for your home team (the original team you grew up rooting for), you dont switch.

4. Yes we would have to root for Jabron Lames again.

Guys this isn't hard, stop trying to make it difficult.
