The best team in the NFL is one of these 3...

1. Steelers
2. Falcons
3. Browns(but seriously the Giants)

It will come down to who is healthy and on a roll in the end. The Ravens are still in the picture.

As I see it. At this time the Giants, Atlanta, Steelers, Ravens, Jets and Packers are front runners.

The Patriots and Colts seem a tad off but, ya never know.

The biggeest surprise to me, that I enjoy watching, is the (who da thunk it ) Raiders and Browns.

This has to be the biggest coin flip years I can remember in a long time.

The top 4 or 5 playoff teams will have "all around good teams", too. That's where QB becomes a big deal. You might get to the SB with a 2nd-rate QB, but winning it is a different story. The list of SB winning QB's (and losing ones) reads like a virtuall who's-who to play the position. Something like 2/3 of SB's have been won by future HOFers. And nearly half of the 88 starting SB QB's or whatever the number is are or will be in the HOF. Those are pretty daunting numbers.

Going back to 1990 (20 years) this is your list of elite QB's in the SB: Combined record 15-9 = 75% of the SB wins and about 60% of the SB starting QB's . You're fighting for scraps with 2 dozen other teams if you don't have a top QB. Reality is you have to go thru 2 or 3 teams in the playoffs with top QB's to win a SB, particularly in the AFC, and that's really tough with a disadvantage at the most important position in sports.
Aikman: 3-0
Steve Young: 1-0
Elway: 2-0
Favre: 1-1
Peyton Manning: 1-1
Tom Brady: 3-1
Ben Roethlisberger 2-0
Jim Kelly 0-4
Kurt Warner: 1-2
Drew Bress: 1-0

Yeah, I get what you are saying gut but I don't count Baltimore out just because they don't have a Joe Montana at the helm.

Not counting them out, I just think they are a much longer shot than their record/play will indicate because of Flacco. I think your champion will most likely be GB, NO, possibly ATL, PIT, IND, NE or SD (if they make it). Maybe even MIN if they and Favre get hot again. Those are the teams with stud QB's. Heck, even Eli has proven he can get hot at the right time, and he's been slowly improving each year. That's just very long odds for BAL. They don't have an all-time great defense this year like the year they won.

Yeah, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

They are 7-2. I'd take being overrated if it means "leading the National Football League in fucking wins."

I voted for the Browns just because it was an option HAHA. I think the Pats are the best team though as we all know they have the best coach, a good defense and a top 3 QB and in the NFL that is a winning formula.

I don't think a dominant team is yet to emerge. NO may be rounding into form, and NE looked good last night but they just have PIT's number. Still, NO and NE got beat by CLE. NYJ almost got beat by CLE, shut out a few weeks ago, and narrowly escaped a few other wins. NYG look dominant one week and terrible the next.

Most consistent teams look like ATL and BAL, at least right now. Neither has necessarily been super impressive, but they seem to be better than others at finding ways to win. Of course, NYJ and NE are both 7-2 so hard to argue with either of them. Maybe NE? Trap game with CLE and then rebounded to smash PIT?

There are literally like 12 teams out there who could get hot and emerge as a favorite.
