They have to do this, but who do they think will change things? I hope they give it to Garrett and he fails as well. Never understood the fascination with him as being the "coach in waiting".

One thing is certain, Jerry Jones will throw a TON of money at a high profile coach like Cowher or Dungy.

One would think he has to be. He's as lame a duck as I've seen in the NFL.

Correction: He's the lamest duck I've seen in the NFL since Joey Harrington.

I really hope Wade is done and that an interim will be named. Hopefully they perform much better than anyone would think and they keep the interim following the season...this would most likely mean that Ryan would be off the table...Lol

Wade is gone but really everyone needs to be gone IMO. Get all new coaching and keep jerry out of things and they can start winning again(long shot).

I have to say, there are few things more entertaining than the implosion of the "Boys". Having grown up having to listen to all that "America's Team" BS, it tickles me no end when this team is doing some major sucking.

You are right. Instead of riding back on the team charter like he usually does, Wade got called to the principals office. There is also reports that his vehicle was not spotted at the Cowboys compound this morning.

How long is he under contract for?

If he's fired will they have to pay him through the lockout next year?

He's under contract through 2011; I would think money is not an object for Jerry when it comes to canning Wade.

Jerry has been saying all along that he wasn't going to fire Phillips during the season. Does he change his tune now?

Thanks guys but that wasn't the question. I'm not asking if money is an object with Jones. I'm asking if Wade gets paid when the lockout happens. I'm thinking he does.

Thanks gorocks... 2011.

I think he has too. The way the team is playing there is no reason to not put him out of his misery.

Following the worst loss in franchise history and how little effort and lack of focus was displayed I would say yes.

As justincredible said, He has to be, right? Also, what else would they be calling a presser for? To announce that they can still make the playoffs?! Wade is TOAST!

I think he has to just because the team is descending towards being the biggest joke in the NFL right now. This season has as much parity as any I can recall (already, there are no teams with fewer than two losses) and his team is getting smashed in a way that just looks horrible. Last night, it looked at times like they were trying to find new and inventive ways to get the Packers on the scoreboard.

Jerry might not want to make a mid-season coaching change, but I think last night probably showed him that if he doesn't do something, his franchise will be the laughing-stock of the NFL for the entire rest of the season.

Thanks gorocks... 2011.

All coaches will get paid if there is a lockout. That's probably the reason there has been no firings so far. I think Wade is gone though.

They are going to announce that the scoreboard is still too low. They are going to move it 1100feet up so that no one can actually see how shitty the Cowboys are doing.

Yes. Wade isn't the problem though. The problem is Jerry Jones acting as GM.
