The map is for Thursday. Looks like several inches for north central Ohio...but a few degrees warmer and it could be mostly rain.

Still early, and a lot can change, but something to keep an eye on...

Interesting. I remember going to Accuweather.com last year every time it looked like a storm was developing. Those posters over there are weather-nuts!

Weather channel says 30% chance of precip on Thursday in Columbus...I'm gonna say no on this one not only because it doesn't look likely, but dear God PLEASE no snow this early.

Yeah, I spend some time over there once winter weather gets started. I am a bit of a "weather nut" myself, so I find it both informative and amusing.

This particular storm is another one of those where it could go a little to the east and we get all snow, or it could go west and it would be mostly rain. Either way, it doesn't look like anything too serious...maybe 2-4 inches as a worst case scenario.

Long term, looks like some cold air coming for next week. Also possibly another storm developing for the middle of next week. Way to far out to even discuss in earnest, but it's fun to talk about, IMO.

I don't know enough about weather to post but I enjoy reading all the opinions. I like big winter snowstorms.

I enjoy the first big snow of the season, especially if is during the holidays. But driving in the snow during rush hour blows. I've had my 25-35 minute commutes turn into 2 hours nightmares.

Update: the system appears to be moving too fast and to the west, which means rain for most of Ohio. Maybe some light snow showers on the back side, but not as much as it looked like we might get yesterday at this time. One thing this storm will do is pull lots of cold air down from Canada.

False alarm. Dammit. :)

I don't mind the cold but I can live without shoveling snow and driving in it. If I don't have to shovel or drive in it then let it snow.

My saying has always been, "If it's going to be cold, it might as well snow!"

Bring on the snow!

My thoughts precisely... nothing will ever beat the ice pellet storm a few years back. that sucked sitting in that and watching games.

I guess I'd better dig my snow blower out of the garage and see if I can start it. If it starts the first time, it's usually golden for the rest of the Winter Season.
