Iowa wasn't impressive but they were undefeated. Ohio State in 2002 wasn't impressive but they went undefeated and beat one badass Miami team for the NC.

I can play the same bullshit games you guys are playing. LSU needed a missed FG against Arkansas to win, not a block kicked that Iowa actually had a part in. LSU was in a dogfight with 3-8 LaTech 17-13 going into the middle of the 4th quarter. I cannot even give LSU credit against Ole Miss because of the stupidity by their head coach and QB to even think about spiking it with :01 second left, that's their own dumbass fault.

A team that was largely freshmen and sophomores? They'd lost not only the previous year's graduating class, but I think nine juniors declared early for the draft as well.

That NFL list is nice, but it doesn't really mean anything when it comes to arguing which conference is better in 2009.
