hmmm, two volume scorers who don't pass the ball? Sounds like a recipe for success to me!

Who do they have to run point guard though? 2 good post players are not shit without a PG to lead the team. Gordon is a shot jacker and a 2 guard, not someone who is gnona set the offense up

Makes Kobe all the more amazing that he has led his team in assists for 13 seasons yet he doesn't pass the ball.

People said the same thing about Wade and James, and I think that is working out pretty well.

Bledsoe maybe in the future? Baron Davis has been playing well since coming back from injury this year.

Just curious though, have you seen Gordon play much this year? He isnt a shot jacker. He is averaging like 4.6 assists a game and only takes 17 shots for his 24 a game.

Didn't Kobe say before the season he wouldn't do what James, Wade, and bosh are doing. So this would make him look like a hypocrite.

Big difference between two pussies ring chasing and CHOOSING their team v.s. management making a trade before the deadline to improve the team.

It would if Kobe was the one leaving for a stacked team and Melo was joining him on that stacked team where another superstar already plays and he didn't already have 5 rings, other than that spot on!!

I still laugh everytime people hate on the miami guys for teaming up. They were alone and it didn't work. They're together and still aren't favorites to make it out of their conference. They did what they needed to do to compete for titles.

Tried out a Laker/Nugget trade on ESPN's trade machine for the hell out of it and one that worked was Anthony/Ely to LA for Bynum/Walton. If a trade went down, would Artest be ok with coming off the bench?

Shooting 17 shots a game and being 11th in the NBA in shots would be a shot jacker pretty much. Im not saying its a bad thing, but he is most def a shoot first guard not somebody who is gonna run an offense

Yes, but I think when you watch the games of the Clippers you might get what I am saying. It doesnt seem like he is just chucking up shots for points. He gets his shots with the offense running directly through Griffin. Seventeen is quite a few shots, but it is lower than most who are going to get 25 a game. Someone like Monta Ellis is a shot-jacker.

Maybe we just have differing opinions lol. I think a "jacker" is a guy who hurts the team and takes some questionable shots. I actually would label Baron Davis a jacker, even though he is a PG who doesnt shoot all that much. He just takes some terrible shots that kill the team.

I do agree he cant run an offense. But I dont think you need an AS PG to win a title if you have great pieces around him. Gordon, Griffin, Howard would develop into a team that could have a guy who is adequate and still contend. Gordon has run quite a bit of PG this year as well...but that is when he has had his most issues with turnovers, so I agree it wouldnt suit the Clippers well to try to force that.

Any one player is an injury away from missing a whole season. Granted with Bynum's injury history (though he's a big, and bigs get injured more) I see what you're getting at.

The Lakers aren't going to trade the most overrated player in the NBA for Carmelo Anthony? Wow

LA Times said they're talking about Bynum and Ebanks for Melo and Nene, with a 3rd team getting involved for salary purposes (Most likely Artest or Walton).

I'd do that in a heartbeat.

There is a big difference in the European versus American Game. These European players are coming over here and taking jobs while the overseas pro basketball market is expanding in the hopes of competeing for NBA players in the next few years. Obviously, this is nothing new but why I bring this up is that when it comes down to the actual player from overseas and comparison with the nba player, the european player is much more likely to be more fundamentally sound. I have seen it first hand playing in Italy. Sure, we will come down and dunk on you or jack it from deep, but the footwork, the mid range game, the art form of shooting is just overlooked in the states. I was curious to hear everybody's opinion on this matter and also on European, and other leagues, competing with the NBA for players, money, talent...Thanks
