I keep looking for the part where somebody has said he is Hall of Fame material. So far I've had no luck. I don't get why people are getting so up in arms about how well Smith has played.

I'm also still looking for the post that claims he is the next great QB.

Hence why NO ONE outside of one fellow Troy Smith hater thinks you have made a coherent contribution to this topic. Who said Troy Smith was headed for Canton? He's had two opportunities this season and HAS made the most of them despite what "spin" you'd like to put on things. I don't care who he's playing, they're still NFL teams. The Rams actually have a pretty good defense this year statistically but as said before, don't let the facts get in the way of your hate (another point you fail to refute). You claim that I bring up the OSU-ND thing because I have "nothing to stand on".....I only bring that up to try and figure out your obvious biased hate for Troy Smith. I have plenty to "stand on"....

In two games he's had:

3 Touchdowns
QB ratings of 115 and 116
0 Turnovers
and most importantly: 2 wins.

It's clear that the 49ers are playing MUCH better with him at quarterback. Again, no one is calling him a pro bowler. But many people believed that once GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY (which he's NEVER had in his career except for at the start of the 08 season in which he got sick and Flacco did well.) he would be successful and had the ability to be a solid starting NFL quarterback. Thus far, he has proven nothing to the contrary.

What I LOVE the most is how you guys keep digging for excuses week after week. Like I said, can't wait to hear your excuse next week if Smith has another good game and the 49ers get another win with him at the helm.

You can call me all the names you want, but no one on here is fooled. You're clearly on the losing end of this battle

He's played against two GARBAGE teams so far! They only one who's fooled is you!

That has absolutely nothing to do with his Pro career.

Sooo, a Rams defense that's ranked 12th overall and 18th in passing yards per game is "garbage"?

While the Broncos D is pretty bad, the Rams D is far from "garbage". They're not great, but they're not garbage either. If you want garbage defenses, look at the Cardinals and Texans. Now those fit your definition of garbage.

Don't let the facts get in the way of your opinions. St. Louis has the 6th best scoring defense.

The one thing I know for a 100% fact about TWHPIH is that he single handedly lost not one but two (2!) NCs for the Buckeyes. The first one becaues he was a liar and selfish prick the second because he was a certifiable shytty teammate and probable felon. I've documented countless times on here his transgressions and see no reason to cite them again. Try to find a single player from those teams (other than the other Glenville Gangsta Teddy "I'm a Complete Bust" Ginn) who liked this idiot or thought he should have won the Heisman. He will never be beloved like Archie, Eddie or Hop amongst his coaches and teamates.

Actually, the Rams defense isn't bad at all. They are ranked 12th in total defense and 6th in scoring defense. They held the San Diego Chargers, who are ranked #1 in total offense, to 17 points when Ryan Matthews, Antonio Gates , and Malcolm Floyd were healthy.

DON'T USE FACTS.

Rock doesn't like them. He only likes his own opinion, such as when he so deftly predicted an Italian trip to the knockout stage of the world cup.

Rock, when you want to stop being a doosh, I will too.

First of all, even if they were two garbage defenses, the 49ers weren't lighting up ANYONE in the passing game until Troy Smith showed up.

However, as said, St. Louis has a pretty good defense.

Here's a huge fact......the Rams stink and play in one of the two worst divisions in the NFL.

He's a great QB. If you take out the Florida game, he gets drafted in the first round and probably has a super bowl ring.

He'll get the last laugh against Brady or Tebow though, he always does.

And there's a reason Kurt Warner was getting cut from NFL teams and bagging groceries and playing in the Arena Football League. Obviously if he has never been a regular NFL starter he can't be good.

*Disclaimer: This is not saying Troy Smith will win a Super Bowl or become a Hall of Fame QB.

I'm glad to see T. Smith making the most of his starting opportunities.

I don't understand why people continue to knock him, like its his fault that he got sick and lost his starting position. Jealously is really starting to show through for some of these posters.

I think Troy is the starter for the foreseeable future.

He has the weapons to do some damage as well. Davis, Gore, and in particular Michael Crabtree who appears to be really blossoming into a #1 WR.

Here's another one.

Rams had the 6th best scoring defense in the entire NFL.

What say you?
