on another great season, from a Mooney fan.

I truly believe that the better team has won all 3 meetings recently, and I look forward to the future of the rivalry.

You guys have been one of the teams of the decade, you just ran into a buzzsaw tonight and his name is Braylon Heard. See you week 14 next year hopefully!!!

That's what's happened. Looking back, the results are what I expected in each game the last three years. It would be nice if both teams could meet in a match-up that looks like it will be a one score game.

When Steubenville evened things up at 7 it looked as if they'd found something to work with offensively if they could stop Herald.

Unfortunately they couldn't. I saw him in Week 2 against DeSales and that guy is the real deal. If DeSales knocks off Mooney next weekend they'll have really earned it. Both teams have come a long way since then; DeSales has gotten a ton better and Mooney's train has kept on rolling.

Congrats to Steubenville on another impressive season and to Mooney on the win tonight. I was as impressed with everyone else in that stadium with Heard...he looked like a man among boys tonight. Second to Heard was the Mooney kicker in my book. What a talent, and just a junior?

CONGRATS Big Red on a great season! You represented very well THE valley all season long, and we couldn't ask for more. Things didn't go as planned, but you'll have that some years. Next year will be another good run!!!

After being beaten by the Big Red last year, the players for Mooney know what it's like not to reach their ultimate goal, a state championship. I'm sure they'll practice hard this week and be ready for DeSales next weekend. Playing for the second time in a season both teams know what to expect, we'll see who has the better game plan. Honestly, thanks Mooney44Cards for starting the thread, very nice.

Great season Red just a very disappointing ending. It does not erase the accomplishments of this past season by beating W Hills, Massillon (maybe the greatest win ever @ Harding Stadium), the win over Poland & the thriller comeback against Inkster that ended up a little short.

We will be back next year as this sting tonight needs to be rectified.

I don't know if that buzzsaw's name was Braylon Heard. Certainly, it helps when you have an elusive back with game-breaking speed, but that offensive line was the buzzsaw from where I was sitting. My goodness... It was bigger than most Division I-A college lines.

I'm 30-years old and out-of-shape and I think I could have broken 150 yards tonight running behind those mammoth beasts.

You have an awesome team and I also had the opportunity to talk to coach Fecko after the game... He is a class act.

Good luck next week and I truly help you bring home the title.

Thanks to the Big Red seniors for all that they've given us over the last few years. You guys will be missed.

Thank you, Mooney44Cards! The Big Red had another great season and we just got taken to the woodshed by a better team, congrats on your victory! Now, Go and roll over Desales for title number 7!

Braylon Heard made that field his personal playground last night!

Did Ohio State recruit him at all?

Congratulations to the Big Red nation on another stellar season. The future is bright and I expect you to be playing deep into next season as well. For the Mooney seniors: This is what you've worked towards for a long time. A team on a mission. Stay focused for one more week.

Careful there RBA, if some of the "fans" find out you spoke to a Mooney person in a social setting you're liable to be labeled a traitor. ;)

I'm proud of my Big Red. Over the past five years we have gone 68-4. That includes three trips to the state finals of which we won two. All four of our losses were to teams that were their respective state champion or state runner-up, so we only lost to the very best. Those 68 victories include wins over Massillon, Woodland Hills, Mooney, Alter, and DeSales.

I can't wait for next year! ROLL RED ROLL!!!

Big Red had a great year. Regional Champions. Defeated Massillon in a classic game. Handled WPIAL 4A champion Woodland Hills easily. Nearly beat Michigan's #1 QB recruit Gardner and his state runner-up Inkster team.

700 teams would trade places to be where Big Red was this year.

Get working on next year. Let's make it 2 in a row against Massillon.
