Oil filters are often free if you buy 5 quarts of oil.

You don't even need a oil filter wrench...lol, the one time I went to change mine I couldn't find my oil filter wrench so I used a hammer/screw driver, hammered the driver through the filter and used it to screw the filter out. It makes more of a mess, but its not that bad :).
