Saw this on the LSU board. Interesting...

I think Michigan just missed out of the top 10. Any teams surprise you that they arent in the top 10?

Alabama will be in the top 3-5 very soon. Not really surprising though. It does show you that despite disappointing results on a national stage over the last 5-10 years, Georgia and Tennessee both continue to recruit the best of the best and send them to the NFL. One surprise not being there is Oklahoma.

Iowa never has top 20 classes (only 1 ever I read) but they are producing pros. Yeah, Bama will be there soon, while Miami will fall and LSU will rise. Kinda surprised about Cal, and after probation -USC might drop.

Ah, another typical team SEC chest beating thread. Should I post the academics again or is that irrelevant because the SEC is dead last? LOL

Umm I mean I'm no fan of an SEC team or anything but who really cares about academics when it comes to college football? I mean its not like every player in any conference had a 4.0 and 30+ ACT.

Bit surprising to see Iowa and Cal in there along with Tenn. Georgia is not a big surprise. I mean, up until this year, they avg. like 10 wins a year. Tenn a bit surprising..but again, up until the past few years, they were pretty decent. Much can go into the above numbers such as longevity when a player gets into the NFL. Look at Miami..they have't been good since the early 2000's. But their players are still around from that time period. So its hard to really determine who is the best at putting players in the NFL when you really think about it.

That's true, to an extent, but the average NFL career is what, 2.5 years? I'd bet a majority, probably 80-90% of these guys who make up this list were playing college football in the 2000's. Georgia's pace of sending guys to the NFL hasn't really lessened a ton yet they really have NEVER been a major national player, at least not for the past 5 years or so. Same with Tennessee. Yet they keep recruiting and keep sending NFL talent to the league.

Iowa is the big surprise for sure.

Surprised to see that Maryland sits just outside of the top 10. Wouldn't have expected that.

I doubt Miami will fall anytime soon as they still have a lot of talent that is NFL worthy.

It shows that the correlation between talent and winning is not all that strong, and shows how silly following all of the 3-star, 4-star excrement is.

Except for the fact that 8 of the last 10 National Champions have come from teams in the top 10 on this list

Illinois has (22)...which surprised me.

Indiana with SIX!!! Amazingly enough, of those 6 players that Indiana has produced, all 6 are starters in the league haha.
