Nebraska big. A great way to leave the Big XII would be to stomp all over the Longhorns. Lord knows Nebraska would love nothing more.

Part of me thinks Nebraska big. They would love nothing more than to smash Texas to pieces on their way out after all the preseason trash talk. Emotions will be running high in this one.

Then reality sets in. Texas still has one of the best defenses in the country against the run and Nebraska has had a problem putting the ball on the ground. The Texas D might be able to keep them in it. Nebraska has suffered some heart-wrenching losses, many that they had locked up and just blew it.

1996 Inaugural Big 12 Championship Game
Texas 37, #3 Nebraska 27

1998
Texas 20, #7 Nebraska 16

1999
#18 Texas 24, #3 Nebraska 20

2002
#7 Texas 27, Nebraska 24

2006
#5 Texas 22, #17 Nebraska 20

2007
#19 Texas 28, Nebraska 25

2009 Big 12 Championship Game
#3 Texas 13, #21 Nebraska 12

Still going with Nebraska. 27-13

Nebraska has been waiting for this one.

Texas will stay close before losing Ore-Tenn-like in the second half.

Texas loads the box forcing Martinez to throw the ball and shit down his leg. The longhorns win comfortably........... if you are a betting man, take it, you wont be disappointed

Worst advice ever. Texas still has to do this thing called 'score'. Texas has struggled with everything offensively, but I imagine their only chance to win is to pass. The bad news is Nebraska has the #1 rated pass defense in the country. Their secondary is on you like stink on shit. Ask Jake Locker and his 4/20 passing against them.

Neb is one dimensional on offense. Although Texas is struggling, they still have a pretty solid defense. They will force Martinez to beat them with his arm. Which I happen to think he is not capable of doing. If Texas can stuff the running game...they win IMO. Will be close game. But I think Texas can expose Neb weakness...not being able to throw the ball. Of course the Texas offense has to do something as well.

Nebraska should roll the Horns. Texas has a decent defense but their offense is bad. I'd say 34-13.

I think Nebraska being one dimensional has a lot to do with the fact that they haven't even had to throw the ball until this point. They've been more than happy just running the ball and I can't really blame them if it's working.

Texas in a close one. One dimensional teams don't win national championships, and this is one of only 2 games Nebraska plays this year that they can lose (the Big XII title game being the other).

Very true, IMO I am glad Nebraska is leaving the Big 12 along with Colorado. Nebraska has really added nothing to the conference football conversation until last year. I personally think they will be a 4 through 6 rated team in the Big 10 on a regular basis.

They might beat the Horns tomorrow but I think it is funny how Texas has owned the series from the inception of the Big 12. This great midwestern school has been a flop for way too long & has been little brother to Oklahoma & Texas & struggled to win the weaker Big 12 North on a regular basis, pathetic.

Three of the top 6 NCAA money makers were from the Big 12 last year with Nebraska being 6th, I wonder where they will rank once they leave the Big 12. They had their bread buttered in the Big 12, being mediocre yet still raking in the cash.

Texas came in right as Osborne was retiring. I think they knocked him off once. They built their dominant record against Nebraska by beating up on Solich's and Callahan's teams....which wasn't difficult because everyone was doing it.

Texas was mediocre for the better part of 30 years in a terrible conference. Mack Brown's success comes from talent alone. His clock management in the B12 title game last year where he, and his QB, ran a roll out pass play with a few seconds left makes Les Miles look brilliant at the end of close LSU games. As much talent as the state of Texas has, it's sad that they only have one national title in the last 39 years. If not for Vince Young, Mack Brown would still be looking for one with a roster full of 4 and 5 star recruits.

Nebraska was ranked the 4th highest money making school in football last year. I'm not sure how they had their bread buttered. They're set to make even more by joining the Big 10.
