As I have no dog in this fight, I hope the Steeler's beat on McCoy all day long. I'm still bitter about the Big XII game from last year.

I must say, McCoy performed well today. It wasn't enough though. I think Rebel is smiling a little today after the tough loss yesterday.

He played decent, but his numbers were inflated with a Steeler lead and the defense in a prevent. I would hope they keep him in and let him get the exsperience. At 1-5, why not let him play.

Surprisingly (even early on) I thought McCoy looked BEST throwing downfield.

yeah, he was very accurate. Other than Watson(our version of Randy Moss), he needs some talent to throw to.

Watson really should have just taken the wildcat snaps himself when Cribbs went down. If need be, throw it up and run and catch it.

It was clear no one on the Steelers could contain this beast. The league is about to introduced to a monster they dont want to deal with.

QFT!!!!!!!

No way the Steelers could game plan for Watson in the wildcat...running reverses, running the slot, running the deep routes. Come to think of it, how the hell did we lose this game while having the Steelers so far off balance with the monster known as BEN MUTHAFUCKIN WATSON??!!

You sir are incorrect. Ben Watson is the Truth. If the Browns wanted, he would be MVP.

Colt McCoy played a hell of a game.

He managed the offense, made smart throws, took his shots, and was fairly poised for a rookie making his first start on the road against a great defense.

I want to see more now. If he shows he can take over this position (I think this was one of the better performances from our QB this season) then that' one less area we have to worry about next year.

I honestly think our downfall was we didn't throw downfield more.

I agree. His performance was very impressive under the circumstances. He lost his best 2 WRs early and only seemed to get better as the game went. He made a couple bad throws. But for the most part, he was right on the money. We need to see more now. We have to know if he is going to be the one to lead this team. Judging by yesterday, he may be.

I agree. He played very well under the circumstances. I was also surprised with his arm strength, hes not Jay Cutler but the kid has some zip on his ball

It was so strange to see balls thrown down field with a reasonable amount of accuracy. Gotta give Colt credit for not being afraid to take a few chances down the field.

Colt McCoy was surprisingly good on Sunday. I was really impressed with the way he managed the game, stood in the pocket and didn't get overwhelmed. I still don't think he's the long term answer at QB, but he certainly showed some promise.

For his first start in the NFL he did pretty well. Something has changed in him from preseason, I'm not sure what, but he didn't float many passes like he did in the preseason. I think he was more decisive and threw the ball with conviction. I would love to see him more but if we want to win games though I would bring in Wallace. Daboll's play calling changed for Colt especially in the first three quarters, and we aren't going to win playing that style of football. Wshould give mccoy some snaps in the games with Wallace to keep wallace sharp and get mccoy some experience. I'm all in the tanking season boat.

I think one major thing I took from how McCoy played is that I don't think the Browns need to draft a QB in the first round next year. One reason for that is that I'm not sold on Luck, Locker, or Mallet but I think Colt could be a good NFL QB, especially if they do make that transition to more of a west coast offense. I think given the injuries the Browns have sustained they have little choice but to tank, and I think going after a pass-rusher is the way to go in the first round. I also wouldn't be disappointed with AJ Green as the Browns are in desperate need of a playmaking WR (and unlike the last time they tried to draft one, this one can actually catch).

Someone posted a very early mock draft on here...had the Browns taking Cam Heyward with their 1st pick. After the way the OSU dline got dominated Saturday...not sure I would like that pick.

The Browns really need a threat at WR. Colt looked good. His throws to Evan Moore were sweet.
