BR, I see you're starting to turn a little bit towards the Steeler side here. I think in a couple months I can turn you in to a diehard Steeler fan. I know of alot of guys who've done it. Come on aboard buddy.

Holier than thou?

You have an exaggerated sense of word interpretation. If that's what I wanted to say I would have said that.

If you are "all beside yourself" and "choked up" it's more of an indication of your weakness as a person as opposed to the type of people they are. How does learning more about them become enough to "choke you up"?

You are correct in that I did not hear Colt's father's quote. Thank you for sharing it. How does that relate to his now daughter-in-law and the type of person she is?

Never. I've lived with 3 Steelers fans for over 7 years. If they can't turn me, you sure as Hell can't. After 35+ years of being a fan, I'm not about to turn tail now. That would be be "Steeler-like." When the goin' gets tough, find another team. I actually got one of those Steelers fans to quit rooting for them.

I have nothing but respect for the Steeler organization (except Ben and Whines Hard). It's their inbred hilljack fans (Ewok & Heretic excluded) that I can't stand.

So, do you still want that McDonald's snack wrap?

Gonna be a rough debut for McCoy. I was a fan of him while at Texas.....just hoping he doesn't get smashed too hard.

I have a feeling it won't be a "rough debut". I think you will see a lot of versions of the "flash" package and the Browns will be running a lot of 3 step drops and short, vanilla passes. I am not saying the Browns are going to win...cuz I have serious doubts about that, but I just think it will be a super, conservative playbook with max protection going on.

I think we are gonna see a very similar gameplan to that of the Arizona Cardinals a few years ago versus the Bears. You know, where the Cards "Let them off the hook!". Leinarts first start versus the "top" defense in the league. This is the same, but with McCoy. I would also expect a lot of Flash/trickeration. But as far as the normal offense goes...I really see a repeat of the gameplan Dennis Green instituted.

In Sunday's game vs. Atlanta, Browns' All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas allowed two sacks, three tackles for loss and three quarterback hits.

Thats John St. Clair like.

It's a win-win situation for Colt McCoy though. If he plays well then he'll be heavily praised regardless of the outcome of the game. If he doesn't, then most people won't really care since it was his first start coming on the road against the best defense in the NFL.

True, but if he plays well and they somehow win the game....do we have another Quinn/Anderson situation?

Well let's see. McCoy starting for Cleveland due to injuries, and Big Ben is back for the Steelers. I love the Browns, but this is just not an ideal situation to stick McCoy in. Not much choice though bad luck for the young man.
