Is he better than them for a career? No, but this year he is as of now

In the past few years is the Ravens Defense better then Atlantas? Yes, but so far this year its not (in regards to rushing yards in particular which is what we were talking about w hillis, theyre better at pass D)

Hillis is an easy player for fans to like.

Throwback white guy.

I think he's pretty good but I'd like to see him perform well for a longer stretch. He's had some costly fumbles and has also gotten banged up. If he's going to be a big-time power running back he'll have to be durable.

And I do think so far Atlanta's defense measures up with some of the more hyped and established units such as Pittsburgh, Baltimore and N.Y. Jets.

That's what's surprising about it.

They lead the league in interceptions and have the second lowest ppg behind Pittsburgh.

Agree with Non on his assessment of Hillis. Being the only legitimate offense weapon they have he is going to get destroyed if they don't find someone else to take some of the load off of him.

Hillis looks like the kind of guy who will have a couple of good years and then disappear due to being physically broke down. I think his best bet would be to become the sort of change-of-pace FB/HB hybrid who catches passes out of the backfield and is used in short-yardage situations. Where he's getting 10+ touches instead of 20+.

Unfortunately for him, he's on a team where he's probably the biggest offensive threat, so he gets overused and likely will be unreliable overall because you won't know how long or when he'll be able to play. I love the dude's style, but he simply is too physical to hold up as a feature back. Bettis lasted like he did because he could avoid the worst contact...Hillis invites it.

As for McCoy, every instinct says to offer my condolences to the lad for the horrible things about to happen to him, but I can't. The Steelers have in the past gotten gashed by first-start kids. I particularly remember a loss to the Eagles...with Bobby Hoying making his first start of a brief, forgettable NFL career. He looked like a star-in-the-making against the Steelers, leading the Eagles to the win. I don't think the Steelers will let that happen to them, but considering that Cleveland's found a way to at least play everyone close, I'm not entering "SHIT-TALK FOR GREAT VICTORY!" eMode just yet.

As for Al/Art, a post where you were profanely attacked also was un-approved by Wes. So please don't bitch about being modded for getting into a flame war when your opponent (who isn't universally considered an over-the-top obnoxious troll) also faced the same rules.

Says the Atlanta Homer. Ok, taking this with a grain of salt.

Wrong. If he plays well they will go back to Delhomme or Wallace as soon as they are healthy. The plan has always been for McCoy to sit and learn. If he goes 10 for 18 with 200 yards passing and 2 TD's, he'll be back on the bench as soon as Wallace or Delhomme is ready. Now if he throws for 350 yards and 4 TD's, THAT might be another story.

I'm holding my breathe waiting for these numbers, esp with our "offensive weapons".

That's why it will never happen. Even if he pulls a "Brady Quinn" and should somehow "manage" them to victory, he'll be right back holding a clipboard as soon as the vets are ready to go. He would have to put up a Peyton Manning-like (numbers) performance to even get consideration to continue on as the starter.

With the way ankle sprains seem to go Colt could possibly be starting for the next 2-3 weeks. However, I agree that he sits as soon as Jake or Seneca comes back.

I expect him to start at Pittsburgh and, if he's healthy enough, New Orleans. Then they get the bye and I'd imagine one of them would be healthy enough to return.

Good call I forgot our bye was coming up. Hopefully Seneca will be back for New England.

Art Modell;517448 wrote:Obviously she's in it for the money.-Skank

Her then boyfriend's father making the public statement you referenced gives no indications at all what her reason's are for being with Mr. McCoy.

In addition, even if she were in it for the money as you state that doesn't provide any evidence of her being promiscuous which is what a skank by definition is.

Not to sound like a smartass but you're just figuring this out NOW? If you're familiar with his posting history that, and trolling, are his M.O.

Clarity was the goal regarding this opinion of Mrs. McCoy. I don't really care if he hates her or not. It's just some poster on a bulletin board. I was getting some self entertainment of my own by trying to see if he had any substance behind his shotgun like statements. It appears he doesn't.

I have no idea who he is and what his posts have been like in the past. I don't pay a lot of attention to who posts what. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter. We all come here for the same purpose....at least I think.

Why would I ignore him when I'm getting what I want from him?

How does that make me a fool?

One is one of the top 3 defenses in the league, the other isn't. That simple enough for you?
