Just talked about on the Miami/FSU game.

But I guess it makes sense.

Eh, the Buckeyes front 7 will shut down Wisconsin's running game. This team hasn't allowed a 100 yard rusher in a long time and Tolzien loves to throw the ball to OSU defenders. The defense has too many playmakers, especially at our LB position, to let Wisconsin put up more than 14 points (which I think our Buckeyes offense can manage that).

The passing game looked very sharp today and I think it continues into next week.

Ya, that's what I was thinking. I know Wisky has already lost a game this season... but I think this is the 3rd test on the season. OSU has done well with the previous two so far. Miami supposedly had superior speed according to some. And then I knew Illinois would play OSU tough, they have for a bit and are a pretty physical team.

I will be glad to have Stoneburner back playing at TE. I think the OSU team is starting to come around on offense a bit.

OSU does struggle in Madison, but the last game there was Pryor's coming out party. He led the team on an 80 yard drive in the final two minutes to win, capping it off with a nice scramble into the endzone for the winning score. Now, we also put the team in that situation to need a comeback, but he showed poise and leadership and he did it all after having broken a bone in his throwing hand during the game. I was there and he ran it in for the final score into the corner of the endzone where I was sitting. I also got his autograph after the game which he had to sign with his left hand because of the large brace they had on his right hand.

Also, OSU is the only Big Ten school that Belima hasn't beaten as a head coach. I honestly don't think that this game will be as close as most will.

I'd really luv for OSU to come out and take care of business. But as mentioned, Madison is not an easy place to play, especially at nite. OSU will also be #1 ranked...thus this place will be rocking. Should be an interesting game to see how OSU does in this environment. They struggled last week away at Ill. Lets hope they learned their lesson.

Makes sense, and since it's an ESPN/ABC night game next week it fits right in because they can talk about it/lead into it all day as they always do.

It's a 7:00pm EDT kickoff on ESPN. That means we'll likely have the Nessler/Blackledge team, who is every bit as good as Musburger/Herbie team (sometime I think they may be better because they actually talk about the game their calling and not everything else like Musburger and Herbie often do).

I think Illinois proved against PSU that they are better than anyone thought. OSU deserves more credit than they got for that win on the road last week.

Looking at next week's night scedule (due to baseball playoffs?) there aren't any major night games scheduled unless the SEC moves a couple games to 7:00 or later (which won't be Arkansas-Auburn which is surely the premier afternoon game), and few not on the west coast. Either Herbie/Musberger do this game or they are sitting out a week.

OK....Living in State College gives me a sort of "insider's" view on this.

Trust me, there isn't a hard-core Penn State fan right now who would disagree that the Nittany Lions are "just that bad." They're already looking forward to next year and hoping this is the year JoePa finally calls it quits.

Let's see....

1. ESPN College Game Day
2. Night game
3. Camp Randall
4. Wisconsin always plays OSU tough
5. I smell Tressel Ball in the air.
6. OSU will most likely enter the game ranked #1.

Of course the Buckeyes will lose.

The baseball playoffs have nothing to do with this since they aren't on ABC/ESPN. Unless theirs a NASCAR race on ABC that night, then there will be some other game on ABC in the 8:00 slot that Musberger and Herbie will be doing. Unless there's no game on ABC next Saturday then there's no chance that the top team will be calling this game.

Never mind. I just checked the TV listings and there is a NASCAR race on ABC next week, and the OSU/Wisky game is the only primetime game listed on the ESPN family, so you're right, Musberger and Herbie should be calling the game.

^^^Musberger said last night during the Miami/Florida State game that he and Herbie would be in Madison. And please, Buckeye "fans", keep saying we'll lose--it makes for good karma :p

They will not lose to Wisconsin. The only way the Buckeyes lose is against a team with a good passing game, something Wisconsin doesnt have.

it's always easier to say they'll lose, and then be happy when they win...it's tougher to predict a victory, and then not run and hide when they lose--JMO

I think the Bucks score 24 as well, but I think wisky doubles the 10 you predicted and makes it 20.

24-20 Buckeyes in a tough one.

You're on to me....except I really do think they'll lose. If and when the Buckeye beat Wisky I will enjoy being called out and smacked around this Saturday night. If they lose I reserve the right to frown and say, "See - I told you so, saw it coming, always happens, just like clockwork."

I've been a Buckeye "fan" for 43 years and I've seen it happen sooooooooooo many times I've built up an immunity to it.
