http://www.wtov9.com/video/25201246/index.html - Big Red (Brooke/Big Red game)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al8-DtBD5ok - Indian Creek

This is ridiculous, but I guess the band geeks need something to argue about too! LOL
I know the sound quality is different, but the only performance WTOV9 has for Indian Creek for Band of the week was when they played the WTOV9 corny theme song!

I was very disappointed when Morgantown failed to bring their band to the Rally in Death Valley. I understand that their band has more than 200 members and that it has won all sorts of awards. Their excuse for not bringing the band was pretty feeble. They said they didn't have the money. This is BS because their school received $25K to play in the rally.

Of all the bands I've seen this year (Brooke, Parkersburg, St. Ignatius, McKeesport, Pittsburgh Central Catholic), Big Red was definitely the best. What really surprised me was that the Big Red Band has more members than any of the Div. I teams that I saw. Iggy's band was especially disappointing. Harding Middle School has more members in its band.

Massillon and BR are always entertaining. Poland always had a large and very good band, but I haven't seen them in quite a few years.

You finally made me laugh Capone.

Big Red is one of the better ones I have seen, they're one of the few high schools that do what my alma mater (Ohio University) does, and actually do it well.

As TheQ mentioned, Poland has always been good in the past.

Salem used to field a REALLY good band when I was coming through school... it started to decline some once I got to high school (2000) and has completely fallen apart since then. Numbers went from 250 or so in the band in the 1990s to about 40 now, and I have farts that are more in tune than them anymore. Some of it has to do with some internal issues they had in 2006 (I won't get into it, but it's all information that is readily available through news sources, not rumor) that resulted in numbers dwindling and new directors.

Does everyone from Big Red remember Boardman's band from back in the day? They would line up from goal line to goal line and play. That was a huge band!

Hey TS1227, You better find someone to start your car for you after the game on Friday. There's a rumor going around that some of the Salem band parents can get pretty nasty when they hear talk like that, lol!!

The band moms are (or at least were, I don't know any of them now) rabid/insufferable. If you ask them, the band never skipped a beat and the fans still don't come for the football team!

When I was in school, they were also outspoken and gigantic, so the chances of them walking far enough to find my car would be nil, haha,

The original HS performing band....Yes, that's right, THE ORIGINAL HS BAND. The Massillon Tiger Swing Band. Nobody else compares. In the early thirties, Paul Brown got together with George 'Red' Bird, the band director at Massillon HS and decided that at halftime of these games, they needed to do something to keep the fans busy, hence the original HS performing band. At EVERY halftime, they perform, Fanfare, Tiger Rag & Carry On, something they have done at every game since 1938, it was performed at halftime during the Red Bird era, then changed to pregame, and recently, moved back to halftime.

In the OVAC you about covered it I think . You might know more about cheerleaders having been one yourself. and I do like the goalpost at Wheeling Island better because they are pro style "higher" and they have better parking . Dont know about the buses . You might know better about that as well having rode the short one .

Actually Dover had the first high school marching band in Ohio, and the first high school to have a band preform at a high school football game.

A rubberband wrapped around a shoe box and a stick beating on the bottom of an oatmeal container does not a band make.
