BTW, Tresselball is really making this game fly. This may end before 3:00pm.

Could someone explain what Illinois is thinking by kicking the FG? Your offense has done nothing since the first quarter, there is 4 minutes left, and you kick a FG knowing you're going to have to score another TD eventually anyway?

Illini is killing themselves with typical Zook penalties. How does he kick a fg, you aren't getting back down.

I wondered the same.

People need to understand that, this is just one game. The Buckeyes will be fine. They will score alot of points. All Tressel wants to do is win this game, and every game from here on out. I don't like the play calling but it is the smart thing to do. If we win every game we will be in the National Title game. Just keep running the ball no reason for Pryor to take shots that arent necessary at this point of the game.

Lol...ok! At least you tried!WebFire;504769 wrote:I think you know exactly what I mean. That was bad playcalling on that series. And I don't believe I said anything about completion % being better for this or that or anything. Quit trying so hard.

I'm not sure how Zook is even a head coach any more. He's terrible.

Perhaps, but the gap between OSU and Boise will close this weekend, I'm sure.
Plus, don't count out Oregon if they start to dominate the Pac-10 and win tonight.
Although, that TD does help.

OSU has a QB who is injured, the O-Line hasn't picked up a blitzer all day, the backup QB sucks complete ass, the team's most talented WR has two drops and an incredibly stupid penalty on him, but the Illini O hasn't been able to score a TD after the 1st drive of the game. Also, the Illini D, although talented, takes after Zook- i.e. they are fucking retarded.
Under the above conditions, Tressel Ball makes the most sense to deliver the victory. Run the ball, run the ball, run the ball, eat the clock get the fuck out of dodge with a win, as ugly as it might be.

I don't care if the gap closes or Boise jump Ohio State this week, because if Ohio State takes care of business the rest of the year they will be one of the top 2 teams come season end.

Playing Tresselball against much lower competition does nothing to prepare them for the NC game if they do make it though.

Well, gee thanks. Thanks for coming into a perfectly fine thread in which I made no negative comments, and be a dick about something.

Ugly, ugly. Not sure I like much about anything from OSU in this game. Play calling was a head scratcher at times. Pryor regressed throwing the ball. Oline isn't opening many holes. Can't fault the defense much except for the first drive. Offense very disappointing.
Maybe a needed wake up call.

Nope, and this is easily OSU's worst game, and their first game on the road.
I'm looking ahead to October 16 @ Wisconsin. They cannot play this way again on the road, or they will lose.

I really didn't think Pryor played bad at all besides the pick. I think the play calling really hindered the entire team today.
