How about taking items with us on the sidelines and not leaving them in the locker room. Use the locker room to get ready and leave nothing in there. Don't take any chances.

We should refuse to play there....or demand they pay for security.

What a bunch of thugs.

5knots.....

We held NW to minus 65 rushing on 15 carries.....Triway got 107 on 30 carries according to FridayNightOhio.com

CopleyIndiansFootball says they got 195 against us (on 43 carries)

Lexington had 109 on 32 carries according to the Mansfield paper.

So that's 109 + 195 + 107 - 65...........346 on 120 carries. Or about 86 yards per game on 30 carries per game. That's less than 3 yards per carry.

This defense has shown it can play the run and the pass and be effective at both.

The defense continues to carry us and I expect nothing less this week as well.

...but we are due for the offense to have a big game.

A suggestion I would have, that our school does. Pass around a valuable bag before the game. Players can put anything "valuable" in it and the coaches/trainers will lock it away somewhere until after the game. That is where the kids put their mp3's, necklaces, coaches put their wallets etc. Maybe Orrville does that already, who knows.

Great idea.....really, that's something that wont cost much and can be instituted quickly with very little administrative or policy changes.

Just hope that 1 bag doesn't turn up missing. :)

The preview in the Mansfield paper said dont be surprised if the Tygers stack the box to stop the run.

Not the worst idea...I'm sure Senior has guys on the edge with speed.....make Orrville throw the ball to win. But with Max, Drew and Turner...you have a guy thats big & tall, tall and super fast.

Pick your poison.

I'm not likin'n how these clouds are looking. Had a nice chat with Coach Sly today. Look for more ball sharing out of the backfield tonight. We are poised and ready! Go Riders!

Well, down 7-0 after 1, due to a Tyger picking up a loose ball in the backfield and rambling 80 yards for the score. I don't like that after we recovered a Tyger fumble on their first possession at about their 30, we went for the home run ball on our first play instead of cramming it down their throats. Lichti is off. Missed a wide open Pirman for an easy TD.

Senior just scores on a 70 yard INT on a poorly thrown pass under pressure. Speaking of pressure, we are putting too much on this kid. Our defense is again doing a very good job.

Ugly win, but a win is a win. Hope these boys run their butts off this week at practice! All those penalties were uncalled for!!!

Yeah, lots of penalties. And the turnovers. And I will stand by my statement in the first quarter, we should have pounded the ball in instead of throwing. Our first play was a long pass into the endzone to Brenner who was covered as they both leaped up for it. He almost caught it, but it was very nearly intercepted, too. In the late 2nd Q and most of the second half, sanity was restored as we went to the ground game much more. Our defense, once again, gets a BRF tip of the hat.

Rider defense has given up 0 points the last 8 quarters! Rider Offense on the other hand has given up 28 points!!!! Hard to win games when your offense is giving up points too.

"What a bunch of thugs. "

This is why Mansfield can never do anything in the conference. The thug mentality keeps them from ever being able to perform as a team. It'd all about "I got mine". Speed doesn't kill, Talent and teamwork does.

The sad thing is, Senior could have an awesome football program! They have so many great athletes and could have so much success, but they don't know what team is. If they could ever get a good junior high coach to establish the foundations of teamwork and staying out of trouble, and a high school coach that would do the same, this TYger program would have so much success. It's just sad to see all that talent go to waste because they are worried about themselves.

Well we didnt get the "big" game from our offense, but it is a win and I wont repeat myself about the defense...let the quote do that.

Coach Haley, Shrock, and McCauly you get yet another skull for that game....way to go!

Good point about the junior high coaching. Good junior high coaches definitely help build a strong foundation for the future. Mansfield is usually undisciplined and seems to lack attitude it takes to win tough games at every level.
