Just preordered it at bestbuy.com(get a free $20 gift card). Haven't really heard much about it. Anyone on here get into the beta?? Was it any good??

I preordered it from dell....45 bucks. Not a fan of the Halo games but I figure that I will give it shot.

played Halo 3 a lot. not sure if i'll get Reach or not. i have a feeling its basically the same game for the most part.

I figured if I don't like it I'll just sell it and use that money w the gift card I get and I'll just get Black Ops.

I've never played it but the commercials make me want to get a 360 just so I can catch up on the story.

Reach is going to be a better game IMO as every other COD game seems to not be up to par.

All my friends got into the BETA I never got ODST so I didn't get on it. They all said it was awesome. I preordered mine at gamestop a couple of months ago can't wait to finally get it on Tuesday.

The beta was awesome and the game is looking great.

I preordered from Best Buy because of the $20 card and also because with Reward Zone you get another $10 card. Also I already had a $15 gift card there so...

I started playing Halo 3 again like 2 days ago after about a year and a half break and was pretty rusty. Gotta get my BR 4 shot back. I also kept trying to run, which I'm glad they put into reach.

I like ODST too. Although it would have been better if it was just an expansion but I liked how it was different.

I preordered a few months back from Amazon with release day delivery, and a $20 future game credit.

My baby is 3 weeks old, so I haven't had any gaming time since early August, but I figure I'll be getting in 1-2 late nights starting this week since she is sleeping most of the night now.

Modern Warfare 2 was a big disappointment for me, so I'm really looking forward to this one...Seems a little bit like Shadowrun for the xbox 360 (very underrated), and I love the new objective game types....Deathmatch gets boring for me.

Black Ops is looking nice, too.

I'm a big COD fan, but I prefer COD 4, COD 2, and even World at War's online multiplayer to Modern Warfare 2....I blame it on the killstreak rewards mostly.

It obviously sold a ton and is the #1 game on xbox live as far as activity, but for me, I was disappointed by it and am very much looking forward to Black Ops....The changes that they have made to that game (on paper) make it much more appealing to me.

I played MW2 for many hours over 3-4 months, and prestiged once...It's not like I hated the game, but it didn't have the longevity of COD4 for me, which I played for a solid year and rarely got bored with it.

COD 4 was awesome. MW2 = decidedly not awesome.

It's like the Transformers movie. The first one was fun and new and nice looking and exciting. The second had all the same elements and some new ones but was terrible. Not to mention the schizophrenic storyline.

Alright so I finished it and messed around with Forge and Firefight. Haven't played any matchmaking yet.

Concensus: If you like shooters even a little then this game is probably a must buy. Awesome.

How long did it take u and what difficulty?? I'm really hoping best buy sends it to me today but there's probably some lame 1 day shipping garbage.

A couple people on some gaming boards are claiming they completed it within 5-8 hours, which seems reasonable for a Halo game....Obviously the higher the difficulty, the longer it will take.

For most people it will be about 6-9 if you play through it at a normal pace (not just running through things and skipping cutscenes).

I played co-op on Heroic the first time with two other people and we're all pretty avid Halo players so I'd say it took us about six hours. It's by far the most satisfying ending since the first one.

By the way, Legendary is going to be insane on this one. As I said we played on Heroic and play Halo games a lot and there were sections where we were dying left and right. Gonna playthrough again really soon. Maybe tonight.
