Anyone ever take a cab from Dublin to campus?

Just got a hotel for Saturday and planning on getting wrecked, so don't want to drive to campus. How much should I set aside for cab fair?

About $2.75 for the first tenth of a mile, then about $2.00 per mile. It's about 15 miles to the stadium from most of the hotels in Dublin, so you'll need about 1,336,500 Somali schillings each way (based on today's exchange rate), plus a tip.

It might be difficult to get a cab back to the hotel with the traffic conditions.

Does your hotel have a van service? A lot of the places that do will run you back and forth to OSU events.

Being gameday they may charge a $5 fee on top of that to begin with as well.

Getting the Courtyard Inn for $79 is still cheaper than paying the $150-200 around campus then. Albeit close ha

True. Especially getting back, the city-regulated rate might go out the window. It's still cheaper than a DUI or new grill, though!

Just tell them you're the owner and you need to inspect or something. Then just pass out on a couch, just take your shoes off

Just find a nice grassy lawn someplace and crash there. Happened all the time when I lived on East 11th - our place had the first front lawn east of High Street. :)

They've always allowed special fees for certain things, just like the BS $7.50 airport fee.

a cab fee. I think it is only if you leave from the airport. When I worked at DSCC I had left my car in long term parking on the base and decided I would just take a cab from the airport to the base. From the terminal to the front gate of DSCC (mind you, the airport and DSCC are across 5th ave from each other) cost $18 because of the $7.50 fee plus the $2.50 for the first whatever distance.

The fee is paid to the airport - it pays for the taxi facilities, security, and general shepherding of the cabbies. It's also a nice little cash cow for the port authority since it usually screws over visitors.

There was one week back in 1999 or so when I slept two nights out of three in one week in someones yard lol. I just crawled up in the bushes where nobody would see me. I lived off of Bethel back then. Fuck going to campus now tho, I'm too old.
