Licking Valley is looking to rebound from a 26-10 loss at home to New Albany to begin the season. Many didn't think Licking Valley had a chance in this game as many deemed this year as another rebuilding year for the mighty Panthers. The game was contested until the waning minutes of the game. Zanesville thrashed a fruitless Newark team that is staring into the face of another 0-10 season for 2010(1-19 the past two seasons). What say you?

Licking Valley should win this. Zanesville doesn't have a quarterback, they have two guys competing still. Also Zanesville's defense is battling injuries. Their D end and corner back are out and maybe the safety. He got hurt Friday but I am not sure how bad it was. Those are three of the four best players on defense.

Talen Hutchison, Austin Craig (questionable for Friday). Also I just heard that the team leader last year in tackles, Gary Ransom, got hurt and did something to his ankle. Ill try to find out more about the extent of the injury.
Yes, b/c coaches come to the Ohio Chatter website to spy on the other teams.

Doesn't matter if the coaches do use this to spy. They could've easily found out by having scouts at the game last Friday. Also, no one else that I have talked to has heard anything about Gary Ransom getting hurt, so not sure whether or not that is true. Also Hutchison will probably see some time with the kicking or punting duties. That is as much as he will play though.

Just found an article in the Zanesville Times Recorder talking about the injuries, so the coach could've just checked the paper and got the same info I am giving you.
In the Times Recorder two weeks ago they had a high school football preview. They had two articles on Zanesville in it. Both were talking about how Zanesville was the most physical team in the area and Zanesville's goal was to make sure that the other team knew they played Zanesville the previous week. Well several injuries playing so physical isin't looking so good for them.

Anthony Smith had season ending surgery yesterday. Talen Hutchison is still out and Austin Craig and Gary Ransom are both playing.

Devils get it done. 17-14. Kicked a field goal as time expired.
