Or at least make it appear that way.

I know back on JJ there was always discussion of having a pro sports forum, and while it was a great idea on paper, it has spread out the viewers on this site a bit. I was just thinking that if you were to roll the pro sports forum into the general forum, things would move a touch quicker and there would be a couple of more viewers on here at any given time.

Thoughts?

no. Because sports are sports, general discussion is general discussion. that forum sucked, this isn't JJ's.

combining pro sports and serious business? that would be like 90% of all the threads in one forum making that combined forum a clusterfuck.

Yeah pro sports does not need to be merged. I will say that it does seem like the traffic down. There are only a handfull of threads per forum that are getting any new posts. Maybe it will pick up with football season?

Good call. I stand corrected. Pro sports and college football just seemed like their posting frequency had slowed

I have noticed how slow the site is moving, over the last couple of days, due to the increase in traffic.

I say we shut the avatars and signatures off for the weekends, to increase speed of the site.

Just a thought I JUST had.

It's not running any slower for me anymore. It was, and in fact the traffic and software had killed the server a few times, but after tuning some server settings it is back to normal for me.
