Thanks Big Red 95 you prooved it for me .
I even looked the word up because I wanted to respond correctly .
CenterBHSfan I really am not heated about your comment ,it happens all the time ,now you come back and say proove the double talk well looking up from my post should do it for you.
Now you condesend us guys for being a little offended by your gratuitous statement saying in your own words we are not acting like grown men .
Its all good Center . I will say I have run into people who come on threads and pretend to like Big Red and say RRR but then often say something smart aleck and figure it will go over us Steuby peoples heads . If that is not your game and your comment was not meant as an insult but rather a quickly not so much thought out statement ,thats cool .
Just beware when you use words like that people like myself are going to disect your remarks . We love our team and our hometown and we all defend it with vigor.

Why are you worried about what we think?

Trust me, this will be a practice game for the Red. Those of you hyping up McKeesport are doing it for gratuitous reasons LOL

Well as you replyed to Big Red 95 ,you were mearly talking toung n cheek the LOL at the end seemed to me as just an extension of a rip . I myself have been misquoted with a LOL at the end of a statement I have made . On this thread actually . Like Big Red 95 said we are constantly arguing with people about our out of state schedule and if it was not your intent to slight us or our knowledge of the game fine, ok, cool . Dont get bent just roll with the chatter . We all make mistakes or get misunderstood . When you put something in writing it is often taken differently rather than speaking directly with a person . You seem to be intellegent and could understand that . So chill or keep coming either way its ok with me . Anyway RRR. I hope I get at the game early enough for parking close to the stadium .

From what I'm aware, no TV for this anywhere. A shame, too. FSN PIttsburgh would've been a good fit to broadcast it.

I'm sure there was a good reason why they could not film all the games. Shame, I would have paid 10 or 15 bucks just to watch it on-line. Even if big red was not playing in it. I live in Florida, so I would have wanted to watch them(Fla) go up against the Pitts schools.

Hope them guys got some sleep .
Not to many good college games on today ,looking forward to see what kind of crowd shows up for the game . I have a feeling Mckeesport will not anticipate losing the home field advantage.

I believe West Virginia is on around 3:30 today. Branko Busic ( former Big Red linebacker ) is supposed to get his first start at linebacker; at least that's what the Herald Star reported.
Cheers.

Listened to the game via webcast. The Big Red defense completely controlled the game. We held McKeesport to 60 total yards in a 7-0 win. Our offense didn't exactly light things up. I think we finished with around 160 total yards, but it was enough.

Najee Murray also had a punt return for a touchdown that was called back. Not sure if it was a legit call or not. I'm sure we'll get more details as people begin returning.

Solid win against a solid program, though.

Solid win for the Red. The defense played very well. I listened to a lot of this game and it sounded pretty close to the IC/John Hay game last night in terms of the offense not finding their rhythm and the defense stepping up. Sounded as if McKeesport also shot themselves in the foot quite a few times with penalties... None the less, Big Red is 2-0.

Hey MoW, when was the last time both "ville" teams started off 2-0?

Big Red's offense sputtered, but did enough. That punt returned look legit. Would love to see the replay of the foul.

I think McK outplayed us until we scored. Then they fell apart. Our offense sputtered at times, but our defense reminded me of the 1984 team when we had eight shutouts and won the state championship. Hope that happens again this year.

Big Red looked great on D. It'll take a team with a really good offense to score on them. The O needs to work on somethings they'll come around.

Solid win for the Red. McKeesport gave Colerain all they could handle a couple years ago.

Channel 4 in Pittsburgh gave us a lot of really great coverage during their evening news. They even interviewed Anthony Pierro.

Outplayed us? Mckeesport had a net total of 60 yards! Just watched Reno's ch 9 interview. Offside calls was a result of changing the snap count as we guessed might be the cause. Defense was stellar.

Two weeks, two shutouts, Michigan down, Pennsylvania down, now on to West Virginia. Way to go defense.
I looking forward to the Brooke game as it will be my first time in Harding Stadium since the early 70's. Coming home for the Class of 70 reunion.

Not even comparable , was at both games !!! IC vs JG was just terrible football period, lots of dropped passes and flags every time JG was marching on IC ...... Today was just two powers butting heads defensively and BR was just smarter, more disciplined with just a little more passing.
