Used to be Big Red would just dress 11th and 12th graders and maybe a real good soph from time to time .
I sure dont want to turn into Central and half the team being frosh . That would be sad . I know a few frosh have already dressed for varsity.

I'll be there all day for the games. Same as I was last year in Wheeling. Although, that was tough, from 10am to almost 2am. Hopefully with four games and another year of experience things go quicker.

Unfortunately, my Comcast package doesn't include channel 263. However, I definitely do plan to listen to the game on the webcast. I also hope Massillon beats Glen Oak.

I don't think most of you know what you're talking about, concerning ME. Where were ya'll last season when I was on these threads all the time wishing good luck to the Red? Right to the very end I was cheering them on because I like to see the valley kids do well. Go look it up, after all if you've got time to post off the mark posts about me, then you've got time to do that.

Perhaps if I sandbagged a little bit more what I posted would be more acceptable to some of you. But that's not my style at all and you probably won't see me doing it.

You said some posters were being gratuitous about remarking on McKeesports capabilities or were implying that some posters were exagerating about our opponent . I read the Pittsburgh Tribune article and Mckeesport is very confident against us . They are coming after us .

Has a coaching staff that prepares the team each year, never rebuilds but reloads and beats those teams. Also, I don't see anyone else in the Valley omit (Wheeling Central vs Buchtel 09') for scheduling these types of teams.

What about a team like Ursuline? guess we schedule them in a down year...they won state championships both times before we scheduled them.

So get together at your buckeye 8 hater meetings and figure out the next hater-excuse for why the mighty, mighty Big Red continues to roll year after year.

Not that I HAVE to explain anything to you, but I will. My boyfriend was born and raised in Versailles, with is just a few miles from McKeesport. He met his old buddy (the one I refered to) while in high school working at a pet shop. They've been buddies for almost 30 years.

If you've followed Big Red like you said you have then you know we get blasted time and time again for scheduling "weak" out of state teams. Just last year we were told that Woodlands Hills would be a cake walk and the only reason we scheduled them was because they were down. When we beat them, we were told that they were down and they'd be lucky to go .500 on the season. Well we know how their season went.
Same thing with Inkster. We were told that game would be a practice game and Big Red does an excellent job in bringing in these weak out of state schools to pad our computer points and to ensure we continue our regular season win streak! We all know how that game went.

So when you accuse Big Red fans of, "hyping up McKeesport" and doing so for no good reason, some people took offense to that, especially when you take into consideration the history of Mckeesport and the athletes they typically have.

Now, here's my take on McKeesport! My best friend lives in the area and actually taught and coached at McKeesport; we actually traded 2005 State Championship Shirts when both of our teams won!
When i found out this game was a done deal, the first thing I did was called him to possibly meet up with him and to obviously talk trash. The thing that he told me was that no one actually knows how McKeesport is going to do and actually a lot of people don't think they'll do to good because of the new coach's record and the fact they're starting with a new offense.

Now, with that said; unless you're a coach for McKeesport or a current player on the team, I don't think anyone can say how they're going to be without seeing them in a live game time situation. Scrimmages, as we all know are only for the benefit of the coaching staffs and the players, to figure out what works and doesn't work and doesn't tell anyone outside of those groups anything about the team! As mentioned before, this team has athletes and with the style of offense they are going to use, if run properly (and we won't know that until game time), can make for a very interesting game.

I hope this helps, at least in part, explain why Big Red fans are a little touchy when you said what you said. Also, I'd like to point out that you did put "LOL" at the end, which I'm sure may have been over looked by the offended.

I appreciate your common sense and thought out feedback. When I made my prediction, that pretty much this will be one of BR's easier games, I was going by the word of somebody who went, played, graduated, and still lives in McKeesport. He's not a coach, but just a fan.
Yeah, I guess some folks DID miss the "lol" part. Go figure. I guess it's more interesting to take part of something and run with it.

I know that what Big Red gets accused of all the time pertaining their schedule. I have never once done that.
My point was pretty clear I think. I don't sandbag or pussyfoot around when predicting a game. It's stupid to do so. I don't think that Red will win because they purposely scheduled to play the Tigers thinking they'll be weak. I never even said anything close to it. Nor implied it.
On the old site, it was funny to the point of ridiculous to watch fans sandbag each other to the point of stupidity. It was almost like a competition to see who could be more gratuitous to the other.

I don't follow BR to the point of going to their games. I really just watch whatever is televised or reported about them, wishing them well along the way. I have no bad thoughts about them. Although now some of the fans have left a bad taste in my mouth.

As to those posters, I said what I had to say to them and that's it. I'll wait for them to prove or show how I have ever badmouthed them, hated on them, or double-talked them. That'll be a pretty long wait.

But, since I'm a good sport, I'll even help them out a bit. Actually, it's not because I'm a good sport, it's because I refuse to let those people represent themselves as victims of my villainy.

Your not stupid, no one ever said you made up stories....I took offense to your statement. I know 55 players on the Big Red team, that don't look at McKeesport game as "practice".... or on McKeesports side as well. It's disrespectful to the players and programs. Many on this site,now your included with them, have blasted or schedule and/or the teams we play.

So I hope you enjoy their company. And I did read your post history before I posted my first post. That is why I could not figure out, why you would say PRACTICE GAME and the other gratuitous remark.

Well for one reason is that we get put on blast for saying things that she said for over looking teams talking bad about other teams. Bragging that the game won't be a test blah blah. I've called out many big red fans and others for doing so as well as diff sites.
