UNC has made the NCAA aware of academic infractions regarding its football team, according to InsideCarolina.com, which quoted unnamed sources.
ESPN college football reporter Joe Schad tweets that the players involved include starters Marvin Austin, Bruce Carter and Robert Quinn. Quinn and Austin were both named to SN's preseason All-ACC team and Quinn was named a SN First Team All-American. Schad adds that he does not expect the school to suspend any players until the NCAA probe runs its course.
The allegations center around a former tutor writing papers for players. As a result of the investigation, Carolina relegated nine players to the scout team, including players who were part of the initial NCAA investigation into the program.

Joe Schad reports this evening that the tutor in question is none other than head coach Butch Davis' nanny. Rumors are flying around the world of college football that the nanny, among other things, wrote school papers for members of the Tar Heels and that upwards of seven members of UNC's starting defense have been tutored by this Davis employee.
