UNC has made the NCAA aware of academic infractions regarding its football team, according to InsideCarolina.com, which quoted unnamed sources.

ESPN college football reporter Joe Schad tweets that the players involved include starters Marvin Austin, Bruce Carter and Robert Quinn. Quinn and Austin were both named to SN's preseason All-ACC team and Quinn was named a SN First Team All-American. Schad adds that he does not expect the school to suspend any players until the NCAA probe runs its course.
The allegations center around a former tutor writing papers for players. As a result of the investigation, Carolina relegated nine players to the scout team, including players who were part of the initial NCAA investigation into the program.

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/26/central-figure-in-latest-unc-issue-is-butch-davis-nanny/

Joe Schad reports this evening that the tutor in question is none other than head coach Butch Davis' nanny. Rumors are flying around the world of college football that the nanny, among other things, wrote school papers for members of the Tar Heels and that upwards of seven members of UNC's starting defense have been tutored by this Davis employee.

How retarded can you be Butch Davis? You're gonna have your fucking nanny type your players' papers? In an age where the NCAA is busting schools left and right?

You deserve to be coaching a Wyoming middle school football team.

haha to be fair I had Jamaal Berry ask me to write his English paper for him last spring. Players are looking for the easy road the vast majority of the time...

...but coaches shouldn't be using their fucking nannies. WTF Butch I thought you were a good coach too.

Exactly why Jamaal Berry will end up the same way Eric Haw and Louis Irizzary did.

To be fair, accepting your story, one incident hardly provides evidence as to what "the vast majority" does.

If true, Butch Davis should be out of college football forever.

If they aren't going to suspend anyone until the investigation is over, why would they move 9 guys to the scout team?

haha OC's Forrest Gump speaks...and I really don't think it's fair to make a blanket statement like that-it's insulting to the vast majority of players who do things the right way haha

Is it an insult to most of the players doing things the right way? Or do most of the players do things the right way and it's an insult to all of them?

I don't see a problem in what Davis was doing.

Interesting and ironic! I mean I had Brady Quinn, Claussen and Golden Tate all wanting me to write papers for them as well! Amazing how often this happens! ;)

So it must be the majority of players then, huh? :D

Asked me to write his English paper after I told him I had straight A's through English when we had lunch at Marketplace thingy on Neal. It's not that big of a deal but it's important to realize Butch Davis' kids aren't evil or the only ones looking to get by a bit easier. It happens everywhere; but, Butch used his fucking nanny, that's just terribly hilarious.

You have never been outside of 270, and I highly doubt your simple brain could get into ND. sjm is a student at Ohio State. Its believable. I had an English class with 3 offensive lineman - Bryce Bishop, Alex Stepanovich, and Adrien Clarke, as well as a history recitation with Stepanovich and in every class they either copied off my quizzes/exams or asked me to "help" them with papers. I didn't write the papers but I wouldn't be surprised if they found someone who would. I'm not saying it does or doesn't go on everywhere, but I did see it firsthand.

Also, its Clausen, not Claussen.

I'm well aware, but I think he was trying to take a shot at sjm because he is a Notre Dame fan. I doubt he knows he is an OSU student.

I know a tutor at OSU, and they certainly provide more than "help" on their studies. But the difference is, they are University sponsored tutors. You don't have some lady off the street just write players papers, just plain stupid.

Ha ha...believe you me little guy...I have probably lapped you educationally, a few times! But I don't feel the need to thump my chest, or do a freakin spell check on here!
And if some of you ND fans wan to start throwing crap around as you are, and name players personally, which I happen to think is out of line, I could do the same. I personally know some current and former ND players. Same shit goes on there as well. So don't kid yourself with your better then thou BS. But I refuse to get into a name game on a public forum. That is for low class individuals in my book.

And if you can't take a joke..get the f out.

Lastly, I could care less how "Closson" is spelled!

NO sarcasm in this post in case you couldn't figure that out!
