Sprint employee chiming to back up the claim that task killers do nothing but potentially fuck up your phone.

Anybody using Audiogalaxy?

Nice app that puts all the music on your computer into a cloud that allows you to play all that music on your phone by streaming it, kind of like Pandora or Last.fm, only its your own music.

Obviously, you have to leave your computer on to use it though.

I haven't tried that, but I did get Grooveshark....I have nothing but problems with it. I get media errors on every song I choose. It did update yesterday, so hopefully that fixes my problems.

I just downloaded and set up Audiogalaxy last night and so far it's worked flawlessly.

Give grooveshark a shot...it is a great idea. It plays any song you can imagine....let me know if you have any problems. Get it free on getandroidstuff.com.

I think I will give audiogalaxy a shot as well.

Task Killer is a must for droid phones or your battery will be dead in 20 minutes.

it doesn't. You have to have a slingbox player to use it. I just downloaded the app because I plan on getting a slingbox in the future. The app is around 30 bucks on the market

any body have any problems with the yellow books app.........every time I bring it up it won't let me type anything into the box and only brings up voice recognition

Huh? Had one for about two weeks after getting my Droid, finally read that it was counter productive and actually saw an improvement in battery life after removing. Have never once had to manually kill an app.

Unless you get a funky app that doesn't play nice there is zero need for a task killer.

That slingbox app works very well. Even when using a sling classic. I am sure it will kill my battery though.

The NFL app is sick. I love The Red Zone and the live Sunday night games. There is about a fifteen second delay between the game on television and on your phone which is pretty amazing. However, watching the game kills my battery.

There's a section for roms. Everything you ever wanted to know about rooting is on that forum. Personally, I like Bugless Beast 0.5 and Liquid Frozen Yogurt 1.71 the best.
