If they go by numbers, how could it not be Barnes?
If it's voted on by the Heisman committee then it would probably be Shipley.

I think it has got to be Golden Tate. . . he's done it against better competition. . . and he has been pretty dominating.

If ESPN/ABC have their way the winner will be Shipley, no question about it?
I'm curious, no Mardy Gilyard or Johnathan Baldwin?

Neither Baldwin or Gilyard has numbers anywhere close to those three.

Shipley, if they didn't blow everyone out his numbers would be ridiculous. If he has a good game against Nebraska that will lock it up.

Barnes has a chance to set the record for most receptions in a year, if he breaks that record, he will win it

Barnes has been impressive but I would have to go with Tate. He has been amazing and plays better competition than Barnes. He also has a guy named Floyd to take catches away from him.

In the few games he has played he has gained over 700 yards and 7tds in about 5 games thus taking many opportunities away from Tate in these games.

The guy leading the NCAA in yards isn't even on your list...
It's Barnes IMO. Bowling Green would struggle to win a game if he wasn't catching passes for them. He pretty much is their offense, and has been the past several seasons.

Barnes' YPC is the worst of the three. The only thing the amount of catches means is that they throw to him a lot; that's neat and all, but it's the MAC and that's why it's possible to throw to one guy all of the time. This is between Golden Tate and Jordan Shipley, Barnes isn't even close to these two.
I voted Tate. I'm a Notre Dame fan, so I'm admittedly biased. But his numbers have been impressive against the competition and his average is a lot better than Shipley's, so come one. More yards on few catches? Have cognizance of that before voting media folks!

Honestly, I think Shipley is very underrated. He doesn't get enough press. Tate and Shipley had the better QB's (top 3 in the country). Barnes has been very impressive.

Red_Skin_Pride:
These three were announced today as the finalists for the award.
Of the three I would probably vote for Shipley. Admittedly, I haven't watched Notre Dame much this season to see Tate perform.
